Why does everyone complain about Mayweather never finishing his fights?

First of all everyone knows that he is a defensive fighter first, not a knockout artist or even a brawler. He is known for his ring generalship, movement, precision hitting and world class defense. With all that said.. Here is a list of fighters he had fought recently.

Marcos Maidana x2 - Never been knocked out

Canelo - Never been knocked out or down

Robert Guerrero - Never been knocked out, down for the first time in the thurman fight I believe.

Miguel Cotto - This is the only fight where I thought Floyd could have finished it in the final rounds but he didn't. Also Cotto is a warrior.

Victor Ortiz - Not going to count this KO as it was a sucker

Shane Mosley - Never been knocked out

Juan Manuel Marquez - Never been knocked out.

Yes he probably dominated most these fights but him not going for the finish could be because nobody/not many people have finish these fighters so why risk your brittle hands for something that won't happen, when you can stick to your bread and butter n outbox them.

Maidana has been knocked down multiple times.

Ortiz had him up and down like a yoyo

My mistake, I forgot all about that great Maidana/Ortiz fight. Let me take out the knock down part at least.

Because he's Mayweather, he's held to a higher standard than even Pacquiao. Meaning the people that hold him to a higher standard than Pacquiao are inadvertently rating Floyd higher than Pac. Go figure.
