Heart is a variable 99% of fighters in all combat sports rely on. Fighters who are deemed to have "heart" are dime a dozen. Fighters who actually employ "skill" are in the 1% range of all combat sports. These fighters (Rigondeax, Ward, Floyd to name a few) are thrown into the boring category and hated on because they can make guys with "heart" look like bums and not even break a sweat in doing so. Heart will not be the determining factor of this fight. This isn't Rocky, this is real life. Skill and the mental game will determine this fight. Fliyd has the edge in both. Sorry to bust anyone's bubble.

Probably not, but he's been hit and hurt by world class fighters, stepped in with world class fighters considerably bigger than he, worked his way up through the divisions. You might have a point that he's never had an "extreme" heart-check but i'd be shocked if he turned out to be yellow after all these years.

Floyd's always had a Vegas ref lately to take care of him. Look what happened in Maidana 1 when Tony Weekes called the fight straight down the middle?? He really lost The Vegas judges saved his bogus 0

I guess what is being implied is that Pacquiao has been in more of those situations as compared to Floyd. It is like a race car driver who has always been in the pole position. He has developed skills to maintain the lead and make sure that he is the first one to cross the finish line. Unlike a race car driver that starts at the back and gains the skills to overtake or pass other cars to eventually finish first. With this fight, Floyd might experience things that he has not experienced before, and I don't just mean being down in the score cards in the first few rounds.

If you have heart you don't fake your death against JMM. Wussy didn't want to get beat down anymore and stayed asleep for half an hour. Have you guys ever seen anyone sleep for so long after getting KTFO?

Try to even knock Floyd down and his heart and determination kick in. That inner voice says, "don't be a Pacquiao and give up"

Anyone who questions Floyds heart hasn't paid attention to the finer details of his fights.

Very eloquent , yet so subjectively wrong!!

Sure, to step in the ring you have certain degree of heart ...that said heart is a tangible variable and it manifest itself clearly for those that truly have it when adversity stared them heads on, killed or be killed!!

The Hesrns displayed by like a LaMotta , Ali v Frazier 1 & 3 ....Ali getting up from a brutal KD....Frazier giving it his all for his pride...
Chico getting up from 3 KDs....Ali fighting basically an elite fights with a broken jaw...Arguello pulling coward by still being pummeled by Pryor, in two occasions....

That's what I am talking about.... All these guys had lots of skill and they are all ATG, you can argue Chico but he displayed epic courage probably at very high level....

Ward has been tested far more than PBF, he move toward exchanges, PBF is NOT. Boxer than move toward exchanges .....SRL Had twice the skills PBF had and he showd again and again he had a huge heart whiling to risk it all when it was kill or be killed time!!

    Hearns v Hagler etc.

Sorry bud, but PBF career has none of these trades that these grest ones have shown!! Sure he has amazing level of skills but does he have HEART?, what they call" uncommon valor":hi:
