If a prime Jim J. Jefferies, not the shell of his former self had fought Johnson, Would the outcome have been different?

    No.

I think that Johnson was the right potion, regardless.

I think Jefferies was undefeated at the time he retired, but did he ever fight with the disadvantages of Height, power & boxing ability as he did against Johnson?

I certainly don't think he would be at a power or strength disadvantage in his prime. And I think he was actually taller than Johnson.

However, as someone stated above, Johnson had the potion to beat Jeffries much like Willard had the right assets to beat a not 100% Johnson.

Johnson would always be more skillfull. Johnsons defense and countering were made to beat on Jeffries

Think you guys are writting Jefferies off in this prime for prime match, Jeff did lasted 15 rounds vs Jack Johnson, and took a beating. I think a prime Jeff does ten times better imo. It would be a LOT closer than the one that took place on July 4th 1910, and I think it can do either way. I do know under the rules of the day, it will be a clicfest type of fight, and who gets the better of the clichs will wear the other guy down.

Johnson would win if his stamina held.

Johnson weighed 175lb when he fought choynski..........that is an 8lb difference.

Choynski fought a draw with Jeffries giving up a 63lb advantage!!!
