Showed a good chin. I had him winning by a hair, but a shop-worn Brunson could have gotten the UD, to be fair.
:good Hogan kept up a good hustle and his gas tank & chin (as you say) both held up, but he proved himself to be a bit lacking for a clue when someone throws a jab and bit of movement at him.
I think so because they have wasted time with him against the wrong type of opponent. I don't think he had any learning fights and now out of nowhere he is in with serious pedigree. Hope they pull it off and fair play if they do but need some local fights against british/French level first
Paddy Barnes and Michael Conlan are going to Rio lads! Both won tonight and the other result came in which allowed Michael to get the points needed in his division
Two weeks ago asked paddypower and boylesports to quote me a price on Paddy Barnes to win gold in Rio. Gutless wonders wouldnt make a market. Think odds will be getting too short too fast now to make a killing. Still though come on Barnes, could be all time greatest amateur Irish boxer.
Barnes fight was a ******* . Love watchin him box lethal body shots . Hope he turns pro after rio he coukd win a title in 5 fights he really has the style for it
Just a pity that there isnt the money in his divison at pro to make proper coin. Ironically hes almost as financially well off staying "amateur" and fighting in the WSB or APB and getting government funding as he is going "pro"
Defo xould sell out the Odysdea or Kings hall or even the poibt after Rio he is well known in Ireland is a characther aswel which always helps.
Very very tough fight for Sutcliffe:think. Theres no Irish boxer am or pro who punches as hard as him,so hope his power can get him through this.
Looks like things have irrevocably broken down between Rigo and his Irish manager, Gary Hyde. Pretty damning criticism of Hyde by Rigo, so it appears there's no going back. Bummer as it doesn't improve our chances of seeing Rigo fight over here.
