Will he now go after Golovkin?

Or fight the winner of Degale - Dirrell?

Doesn't have to fight anyone. Must surely be a bit gutted about this though..

Not fussed about seeing him fight DeGale.

Froch is between a rock and a hard place now.

The high reward, moderate risk fight is off the table. My guess is that he prays DeGale beats Dirrell so they can sell it as a domestic superfight. If Dirrell wins then I doubt Froch will have much interest in a rematch. with Haymon backing Dirrell means Froch wud have to travel and it would probably be just another fight in Atlantic City.

If not that fight then a Ward rematch in London seems the next most likely option. The only thing about that is everyone, including Froch himself knows that Ward beats him clearly anywhere on the planet.

It would seem Froch's best option might be to go after Golovkin but thats not a 'Las Vegas' fight. If GGG will come to the UK and move up then it could be a big fight. And....as we saw w Chavez, the size advantage Froch has might be big.

I'd fight Golovkin if I were Froch. Dirrell & Ward would both beat him again and they have powerful backers that would complicate negotiations. The GGG fight is more winnable, easier to make and potentially a more exciting match up. I hope he goes for that.

Froch isn't a currently active fighter and doesn't hold a belt, he's retired until further notice, and when he comes back, he may have to wait his turn. That's how it should be anyway.

Yeah but boxing doesn't work like that..

I think he should let those two little boys Groves and DeGale fight each other and go after a decent Vegas payday.

hopefully GGG, can't see it being degale because he's difficult to look good against. Froch would have fought him ages ago if he wanted that fight.

Degale if he beats groves will become a bigger fight but think froch would retire before that's ready.

if anyone saw his docu on itv4 he seems to suggest that his mrs and kids are more important now, and didn't like being away from them for training etc. So I think retirement is likely

After losing to Ward , Froch career had a nice path, straight return to smash Bute and then the Groves fights made him big money

He is happy to retire now

GGG or Degale at City Ground if those don't happen then retirement

    Retirement.

There's nothing left for him to do now that his "Dream Fight" has gone up in smoke.

That could have been Froch in there making Chavez quit last night, but Eddie ruined that as well!

Another domestic clash in Froch/Degale on the horizon no doubt! Zzzz.

Maybe Paul Smith can face the winner and we can have it at Wembley?
