He will weigh his usual 150-152 on fight night. He doesn't look any different than he has in the past the guy stays in shape 24/7/365 just like Wlad Klitschko does so it is no shock they are the 2 most dominant fighters in the sport right now.
What "slabs of muscle" are you talking about? Hes the same weight as hes been for years and hes always been incredibly lean.....so unless this new found muscle weighs nothing, then just stop
there's a fine line on being lean vs getting ripped particularly in the context of boxers. you are doing cardio for almost the whole period of training camp. boxers are not meant to build / pack muscles that's why you won't see them lifting weights, plus building muscles normally would take months especially if you have already reach your genetic potential (age is a huge factor here). that's why it really sucks this fight didn't have 24/7 or all access, we won't get to see on what is happening inside the camp. i'm really interested on the program given by his "conditioning" coach. heard the dude is into swimming??
It's amazing that two guys from the 96 olympics are arguably the two best fighters in the sport in 2015.
How people on here can't understand that gaining tons of fat in between fights and having to lose it over and over can be detrimental to your body and performance is hilarious. It doesn't have anything to do with Ariza, 'Memo', PED's, secret 'shakes', or any of that stuff. They are both Professional Boxers 24/7/365 and it shows.
Do you have any pictures of Mayweather to compare before he started training? I doubt his physical dimensions have changed that much if at all. Mayweather stays in shape all year round. I personally don't see anything extraordinary about his "new" physique. He always looks "shredded" to me, even when he is not in hard training.
Caloric calculations are tricky, because of sauces and seasonings we add to the foods, even the oils we use when we cook. I used to count calories but now I just go by my feeling: I eat slowly and stop when I feel I am getting close to full, as opposed to finishing everything that was on my plate. I target vegetables and meats first, but if I didn't finish rice/potatoes and feel like I am getting full, I stop and put the food away. My diet: No sugar added to anything, no salt added to anything (I get my salt from goat cheese/pickles), no white bread (I occasionally indulge in rye bread, one or two slices at most), no pre-packaged sauces and no juices unless they are freshly squeezed. I limit my fruit intake to one portion a day as well, they are action packed with sugars. my meals: 7 am - 3 whole eggs, boiled. one piece of fish (about 8 oz), one g****-fruit, handful of almonds and half an avocado, followed by a multivitamin. I get to work around 8:30, my break is at 11 and that is when I take my pre-workout shake and go to the gym if its mon-wed-fri. Preworkout is creatine/betta-alanine/vitargo/protein/bcaa (lucine/glutamine mainly) After the workout I have a recovery shake (protein/vitargo/bcaa's/veggiegreen. by now I have also had at least 1L of water. at roughly 2 pm is the dinner, and I go all out: sweet potatoes/a plate of chicken breast/broccoli/brown rice/fish/, whatever I made the night before. I try not to eat takeout as its pretty much stacked with sugar. I also have a separate container for salads, cucumbers/tomatoes/spinach ec. at 6 pm its usually protein heavy meal with some fats, like tuna with guacamole/carrots and nuts. I play soccer 4 days a week in the evening, so on those days I add carbs to the 6 pm meal. What really helped me get ripped was lifting weights. I didn't weight train at all for years because my boxing coaches insisted it would make me slow. Now I lift very heavy with 30 second rest between sets, and I noticed my metabolism shooting up. Every week I try to push my numbers higher simply because I do not feel the effects otherwise, so instead of doing 3 sets of 12 reps with 60 lb dumbbells I do 5 sets of 5 reps with 100 lb dumbbells. As a soccer player, you have the HIT part of the workout down par, see if lifting heavier will do the trick, and do not fear fats, they are amazing for you and an absolute must for a healthy *** life.
He is an Athletic freak. What do you expect his body to look like? I will admit he looks slightly thicker in that pic. Nothing too drastic, but he is looking a bit more muscular than usual. Plays into my theory that he is going to walk Pac down and really sit down on his punches. His body is Insane.
Been saying this since the fight was announced. Rarely is Maywweather the bigger fighter. If you look at his past fights when he is the bigger man he fights totally different. I too believe he sits on his punches and after softening Pacquiao up early in the fight walks him down for a TKO in the 9th-11th rounds.
So you think that Floyd fighting at 154 for the first time back in 2007 means that he should of been bigger and more muscular then as compared to now? I would think the younger he is the smaller he'd be, considering humans and fighters tend to gain weight as they get older. Now understand pacturd weight and power is two different things.
