Been doing alot of boxing training but the one thing I can't or don't have access to is a heavy bag.

Is there an alternative exercise I can do to get the same or similar results?

For working on your technique, shadow boxing in the mirrors is your best friend

Agree. Also if you know somebody who may help you with mitts work it will be nice to feel the impact of your punches, your distance and your timing.

You can't "replace" the heavy bag. Hitting the bag improves specific attributes, some attributes other activities will not achieve.

As far as material objects you could term it the one irreplaceable asset in training boxing.

Hell, you can leave off the wrist-wraps and even the gloves (and certainly the custom boots) and still derive some minimal benefit from hitting the bag, though of course with heightened risk of self-injury even with proper form.

Ideally - leaving aside supplemental regiments, strictly in terms of boxing-specific training - you want a heavy bag, a coach who KSAB to hold pads and wear a body-bag, a double-end or 'accuracy' bag, access to regular sparring under your coach's supervision, a wall-length mirror or reflective window or something in front of which to shadow-box, maybe a few other knickknacks like a skip-rope or stationary bike (opinions vary on their efficacy, in the case of the former the practical application is simply conditioning yourself with basic footwork drills and not performing fancy schoolyard 'tricks' which amount to, like the speed-bag, essentially nothing more than gymnasium showmanship) ...but at the bare minimum, your needs are twofold: your fist, even bare, and something to hit (be it a licensed heavy bag or a slab of meat in a locker, for cinephiles. :yep)

:good My old coach was big on those drills with the rope diagonally bisecting the ring for head movement. He'd back up along the length of it and have people weave and fires combos into his palms on each come-up.

I'd be keen on trying. Got schematics for the rigging? :D

Bands are the green, double the length when on, 50lbs each side same from the post. Great for skipping and running saves a lot of impact, goes through the bands.
