Smith just gonna fight to survive.

Pointless fight, but I guess it get's ward's fitness levels and ring sharpness back.

Just a glorified sparring session for ward

 

I don' t think anyone begrudges paul having the fight I just begrudge a promoter being able to ensure a guy who has lost his last 2 fights at world class level go straight back in with an opportunity against one of the top P4P fighters going.

 

Cant knock smith for taking it. Its a huge fight for him and im sure hell get paid.

Not a challenge for Ward though.

 

I don't mind him taking it, but a) it simply shouldn't be allowed or accepted, but hey that is boxing b) its the sense of entitlement from Paul Smith whenever you hear him speak, like he has merited the shots.

Concentrating mainly on point b, he seems to thing he is at world level and pretty much has since beating Tony Dodson, yes Tony Dodson. The guy has not proven he is at European level. Sure two 12 rounds points decisions v AA look good on paper but AA has not knocked anyone out since 2012, which was 8 fights ago. Aside from that Smith has beaten four boxers in 4 years who had a combined record of 50-64-6, 27 of those wins came from Dodson! More so its the way he speaks of Fielding like is on a different planet. That is the fight we should be watching.

Its scary. It really is.

 

In fairness, all belts excluded, he's still getting a shot at the lineal SMW title.

So Solaris is kind of on the money.

Smith would beat the **** out of Nielson.

 

i'd rather see smith in a domestic fight, smith vs groves would be a better fight than this!

Those records are scary. Hats off to Paul for keeping his delusion going though. Just shows how far AA has gone back that he let Smith go 24 rounds with him.

If he'd have fought Fielding I'd have had a serious bet on Rocky. Smith didn't want to touch him with a bargepole, despite the history and bragging rights in Liverpool. He knew...
