Wlad is the greatest heavyweight since Ali...Hell, even Ali needed some gifts to beat Norton, Young, Jones.
Whether you like him or not, when a boxer dominates for as long as he has even in such a **** poor era you can't deny the fact he is an ATG heavyweight. Now this doesn't mean he is anywhere near the likes of Ali, Louis, Lewis etc in terms of ATG ranking but Wlad is clearly a great heavyweight. You have to recognise his dominance, he's been by far the best heavy for a decade now. I rank Wlad about 11th or 12th so he is knocking on the door the the top 10 and with a few more years of dominance he could break the top 10 for me. But he'll never rank top 5 for me no matter what he does. His resume is simply lacking a signature win. Can you name one Wlad victory that is memorable in a good way? Wlad had 2 possible signature fights that could have seen him shine and make an argument for a higher ranking. They were Haye and Povetkin, both were big fights both left the fans disappointed and gave his critics more ammunition. He refused to engage Haye and counter numerous oppenings Haye presented him. So many times Wlad chose not to pull the trigger and played it safe. I believe he could have KO'ed Haye had he wanted to. Then against Povetkin he gave a mixed performance, while he was aggressive and went for the KO he also clinched to level even he rarely does and tainted an otherwise good performance. Can you imagine if Ali had hugged and spoiled his way to a decision win over Foreman or ran from Liston to win on points? It not just who you beat but how you beat them and in both aspects Wlad fails.
Rahman was a late replacement for Povetkin. He took the fight on less than 2 weeks notice. And he as shot to bits. Is Berbick an ATG because he beat Ali? Were you under the impression you could get one over on me:huh
The strength of an era will always look weak if one guy shines out so much above the rest. Haye and Povetkin are two very good recent wins of Waldo imo.
You got one over on yourself when you posted... This is called self-ownage... Cooking your own goose... Shooting yourself in the foot... etc. Something you NEVER FAIL to do on this topic, your only close rival in the 'buffoon race' being HG. http://cloudfront-assets.reason.com/assets/mc/mwelch/2009_11/punchinface.jpg
This will be Wlads 18th title defense if he wins. 20 will tie Larry Holmes. It would be cool for Holmes to be at that fight and congratulate Klitschko for equaling his record and praise Klitschkos achievement.
there are literally dozens of boxers with wlad records of endless victories over fatboys, two good wins and about 3 losses to journeymen. you shouldtn ask questions that are too easy.
That post was clearly made tongue-in-cheek. If Wlad is an ATG by dominance only , without looking at who those fighters were and the performances , i can make the same case for Rahman. Undisputed champ. Beat one of the greatest heavy weights ever. Clearly an ATG. There's more to evaluating greatness than paper stats.

You're yet to offer a valid post in your entire time in this site. You continually make a fool of yourself picking anyone and everyone to beat Wlad and then backtracking when your latest would be champion gets a shellacking. Now to the point in hand. I imagine that most champions of vastly previous eras would benefit from modern training methods, diet plans and the professionalism shown by the likes of Wlad. Secondly whether or not it's fair to have 210lb guys facing off against 240+ guys. Perhaps we need a superheavyweight division as size wise we are seeing match ups that wouldn't be allowed anywhere else in the world of boxing.
