Back when Hatton fought Mayweather, how many of you actually expected Hatton to win?

Would it have been closer at 140 lbs, I see the fight playing out much the same only with Hatton having to cut more weight to make weight (something that he was used to doing but don't think Floyd would be any weaker at 140 lbs.)

Hatton main disadvantage at 147 lbs is he no longer has the strength advantage he had at 140 lbs, Floyd likely weighs just as much as Hatton Jnr welter opponents on the night as he doesn't cut much weight.

I actually predicted Floyd would stop him between rounds 6-10. you can check my posts from that time. I see Floyd stopping Pacquiao.

I thought hatton would have more success then he did. Was surprised how easily Floyd coped with him inside.

After the weigh - in and seeing how many UK fans where out there, I thought hatton may actually have a decent chance of getting a decision. Always thought Floyd was favourite but thought Hatton was a live dog pre fight.

The only thing that surprised me was that Mayweather KO'd him. I thought he'd coast to a decision or if he did stop Ricky that it'd be via cuts.

I hoped he would win but even with all the hype surrounding that fight I was never drawn into believing he would win. I thought it would be more competitive and I expected it to the go the distance but any thought I had about Hatton winning was simply a flight of fancy. Mayweather is just too good. I feel the same way about Pac/Mayweather.

I've just checked and to your credit this is one of those all too rare occasions where you are actually telling the truth.

We picked almost exactly the same, though I thought cotto would give floyd some trouble. I was pretty sure at the time cotto would edge out pac... I did not see that coming. I also though floyd woukd dominate ricky.

I always tell the truth and when it comes to boxing I call it like I see it. You may disagree with me which is fine and is your prerogative but I do take issue with you basically saying I dont tell the truth most of the time. I am consistent in my views.

I went to Vegas for the fight,I was praying for Hatton to win but knew floyd would in reality.
Think floyd was 28-1 or may have been more for late round ko,I backed him in 8 9 and 10 coz I had a feeling he would be walking into floyds right all night, was still gutted to win tho

I thought Floyd would beat him and after that fight, I expected Pac would beat him too.

Perhaps if he'd fought Pac first I may have favoured him in that fight, hard to say for sure.

I picked Oscar to beat him. Who didn't ?

I was pretty sure that Hatton would beat him. What a shocker !

I just knew he went too far when he fought Cotto. He destroyed the man !

I have not picked against him since.

I will, for the first time in ten outings, give his opponent a slight edge next week.

But I'll be very happy to be proven wrong. :D

Honestly, the fight would have been a lot closer if Cortez wasn't the ref. it was obvious how biased Cortez was in Floyd's favor.

Hatton had no chance with the referee, but that was always Floyd's plan just like the second Maidana fight.

Hmm my prediction was just the opposite.
I know Cotto would not match power with Mosley, but I knew Mosley leg where gone and he would get out pointed .

I picked Pac to win only because of the beating Cotto took from Margarito, damaged him.

I picked Margarito to beat Cotto after Cotto's life and death Battle with Zab. Cotto had to cheat to keep from getting KOed. Also Cotto battles with stamina .

If you weren't picking Hatton before the fight, you did after watching 24/7. Easily the best 24/7, that last scene with Hatton in the car kind of emphasized why people were picking Hatton and why Hatton took the eventually loss so hard.
