Which active fighters do you think would make successful trainers?

Successful, meaning, they could lead someone to win a title. Not just guys that are smart or good, but guys that have great insight to technique and communicate effectively when talking boxing.

Here's my quick list, just shooting off some names...

    Floyd Mayweather Jr
    Benard Hopkins
    Andre Ward
    Paulie Malignaggi
    Nonito Donaire
    Mauricio Herrera
    Gennedy Golovkin

    Give some shouts!

God I hated the guy when he came up... But he's a great commentator for Boxing and has a real knowledge of the sport.

I think Hopkins and Ward would make good trainers.

They're both students of the game, have been trained and taught the sweet science by some world class trainers/coaches, and when you hear them give a breakdown/assessment on a fight, you can tell they're both well-schooled in the nuances of the sport.

Out of those guys I don't think any of them can, yet. Froch probably but he just doesn't seem like trainer material to me. Brook with time could be.
