Slightly worrying if his cranial structure became softened, basically you're saying Wlad hits that hard he turns bones to mush?? Wow, didn't think you had it in you to give Wlad compliments..
I never was in the ring with Tyson,w. klitschko or Lewis. By F. Botha's-who fought these fighters- opinion Tyson was the harder puncher. Like an objective man i trust in Botha because i haven't experience in this case. I know the wladboys can't accept the objectivity but this is their problem.
The short right travelling less than a foot he nailed Botha with was a peach...........and that was already a shot to shid Tyson. Both have excellent left hooks, no doubt but WK due to his height/reach can also hook off the jab and the jab/hook that made Peter do a momentarely chicken dance was a peach too.
Yep. Wlad might have the best hook in the history of the the division. The power and speed generated from the blow is astounding.
I disagree, this might sound controversial but i believe Holyfield had the best left hook in heavyweight history. He dropped Tyson, Bowe and Mercer with his left hook. He also stunned Foreman and Lewis both with his left hook.
ok hold on for a second, Dino could be one of the biggest knuckleheads on ESB and that's saying a lot, I cant ever recall agreeing with him until today and that freaked me right out,,,, now first let me clarify, the question is HARDEST and not BEST so lets forget Dino's valid point that Tyson's was quicker and overall better than Wlado's left hook because that's not the question, if the question is who's is harder I still go with Tyson's, don't forget the question isn't who could hit a stationary machine with their left hook the HARDEST, its in the ring who had the HARDEST left hook. Tyson's left hook was amazing, it really was, only Holy walked through it, everyone else ran from it. On Wlado's side the win over Chambers with that short left hook to the temple in the last seconds of the fight was awesome looking and that Ray Austin knock out was powerful But until those fight's Wlado's left hook really wasn't that highly thought of. It was still mostly always about his straight right before then. Tyson made a career out of hitting a guy with his left hook and having them never recover. His left hook was vicious in its prime. Was still hard after his prime. Everybody he hit with it was rocked, that's why he was Tyson. Just because his right was so hard as well is no reason to deny how good Tysons left hook was, his left hook was HARD :bbb
yes I would say it was ONE of the hardest, Holy I mean, just not the hardest,, under rated however, for sure, I think in part because all boxers throw all their punches at DIFFERENT degrees of hardness,,, Holy early in his career often had a sneaky quick left hook that was not nearly as powerful as the left hook he would throw when he set his feet, so I think right there that confuses this point a lot giving the impression to many that Holy's left hook wasn't that hard, but Holy could take your head off with his left hook when he had time to set and get his full weight behind it, still, I don't think it was as hard as Tyson's and I would bet Vlad's was harder than Holy's as well. Hardness is important but in many ways I bet its over rated, by that I mean I bet the difference between how hard Tyson hits compared to Wlado isn't as big of a factor as most would assume it to be. Still its fun to talk about :bbb
For pure force I think Tyson's was harder, he was simply the more powerful fighter in my opinion. But Wlad's hook behind the jab is one of best punches seen in the division, so sharp, short, impossible to see coming, great timing, very powerful and so fast for such a big man. It could be argued that it is a more effective punch than Tyson's hook. I don'tknow, apples and oranges...
Wlad's might be harder by you might have to watch 10 fights to see him throw it. Tyson was like boom-bang-boom in the first round and you'd get plenty of left hooks for your buck.
I see, I assumed you were meaning only hardest and jumped the gun, sorry, lol, yes as far as what you said, one of the best left hooks ever for Holy, yes for sure, under rated to boot, Holy had one of the all time best left hooks, so effective.
Check out the Tyson left hook that took Sammy Scaff's nose off, I have never seen Wlad do that to anyone, and yes I mean he took his nose off.
