Of course, but it was presented as "Mayweather's Letter", so no harm to have a little fun with it :yep

Floyd is giving his advanced notice. Once Floyd is done with boxing......he will no longer need to have so many "employees".......nor will he want to be responsible for paying salaries that are unnecessary.

His focus will most likely be to support himself and his kids with the boat loads of money he made. If he's smart, he won't continue to be playing that "MONEY Mayweather" card which will surely see him end up like many other athletes who lost their fortunes in retirement.

This is actually very mature of Floyd. I really like how he handled this one like a REAL boss. I can't take anything away from Floyd on this. He made it crystal clear of his focus and articulated what was REQUIRED from his employees....he then gave them direction. Make better choices....prepare for the future....save your money!

Floyd may have been listening to the critics because those are all things Floyd has heard directed at him over the last decade.....The closer to retirement the realer things get and it looks like Floyd is adapting for life outside the ring.

Sounds like he's worried about distractions.

    1. He wants a smooth training camp with nothing leaked. Not surprised, he's facing Pacquiao.
    2. Sounds like his "employees" bring too much drama. He's finally cracking down on them I guess.
    3. "Start saving" sounds like he's going to make some cuts

Nah, it means this is the 2nd to the last time he would be needing them and he's planning for retirement. So floyd should pay them big for this one and his last fight, most probably a pacquiao rematch.

That too. But if that's all it was, he wouldn't have added the extra "fluff" to the letter.

Strong words spoken from one of the greatest athletes of our time and also a man who has matured and realizes his career (which he dedicated his life too) is almost complete. Any real person regardless of race, who has had humble beginnings and made something out of themselves, should appreciate this. That's a sign of a great leader.
