Then again Mayweather is not the heaviest opponent Pac has faced. Weight wont be a bigger factor than footwork from both.
i really think Floyd coming in at 160+ will be a disadvantage. He may come in drained after dehydrating and re-hydrating. He may be slower and tire more easily carrying extra weight. Being slower and tiring in later rounds is gonna be suicide vs Manny. He may have more pop but if he doesn't KO Pac early, i see the additional 10-15 lbs as something of a disadvantage. Why would Floyd come in at a weight he hasn't fought at before? makes no sense to me... HE should stick with what has worked. If he comes in at 160+ it''ll confirm that he's always been very scared of Pacquiao...
You think he will be able to hurt him with single shots?. Mayweather hasn't consistently thrown in combinations unless his opponent is a stationary target(Victor Ortiz). I will be shocked if he drops or seriously stuns/wobbles Pacquiao with single shots especially when Mayweather is known to throw to score points more-so than fully commit for a KO.
It's shocking how much bigger Floyd is when they stand next to each other. The height at the shoulders, the shoulder width, etc. Pac has a lot of his weight in his legs probably. But yeah, Floyd is the noticeably bigger man.
I agree, IMO for Floyd to actually KD Pac or hurt him that bad, he would have to risk getting hit a lot himself because he will have to open up a lot to connect enough punches to hurt Pac. The only way, IMO, that Pac gets KD or KOd is if Floyd risks getting KOd himself and I just don't think that is something he is willing to do.
He isn't going to do that because it's not his fighting style. In addition to that, Pacquiao's speed is severely overlooked here. Mayweather is going to deal with a southpaw(which is a style he has trouble with as proven already) who hits really hard and has serious speed. If Mayweather opens up, he's getting nailed with serious bombs he won't see coming. This fight won't be easy for either fighter.
I don't know. When Pac fought Mosley and Cotto, he didn't appear to be a midget next to them. And they didn't appear to be small next to Floyd. I think this size thing is being over-exaggerated tbh.
It truly is. Watch the Pacquiao Cotto fight, they're damn near the same size. http://www.vegasnews.com/wp-content/uploads/11_13_09_Pacquiao_Cotto-_WEIGH_kabik-224-570.jpg http://www.15rounds.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/pacquiao_cotto_weighin_001a.jpg http://www1.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Manny+Pacquiao+v+Miguel+Cotto+Weigh+z5JL4dCypSQl.jpg
Yeah, and Floyd was at 150 a few weeks ago. Here's Floyd and Cotto, to compare to your pics. Granted this was at a heavier weight, but still, the overall body sizes are all around the same. Pac's definitely the smallest, but it's not like Floyd is that much bigger. https://www.google.com/search?q=Flo...ther-miguel-cotto-tense-weigh---52526;660;428
