Tomorrow night our sport takes centre stage. But by Tuesday the back pages will be back to football. However some new viewers will become hooked.

Which fight was your turning point?

Mine was Hagler v Hearns. Tyson arrived on the scene later that year. I have been an addict ever since.

I was lucky/unlucky enough to go to Hagler/Minter as a six year old, that piqued my interest. But even then it was just the dying embers of Ali's career and then Bomber Bruno that kept me interested, until McGuigan/Pedroza and just before as mentioned above Hagler/Hearns.

how do you define a casual or a boxing fan?.....years ago when Hagler/Hearns ,Tyson etc were fighting it was the only boxing it was possible to see ....same as Benn/Eubank etc etc

i have always watched boxing on TV but Barrera v Morales 1 opened my eyes to how brilliant the smaller fighters were,i was a Heavyweight fan up to that point but even then id consider myself a casual fan..(id never been to a live show)

But since i got BoxNation for the Mayweather/Canelo fight i have become a boxing addict,so much so that the majority of football has taken a back seat...so i would have to say Mayweather/Canelo

TBooze, Minter vs Hagler was my first real memory of being properly switched on for a boxing match. Odd really given the post fight audience participation!...not exactly the best advert for the sport but I've been hooked ever since. First british fighter I followed avidly aswell was Dennis Andries and that epic trilogy with Harding.

Najib Daho, cant remember who is saw him box at the time, but he was one to watch, great fighter..

I remeber him coming in my yard years ago, and i was staring at him like "i know you" but i couldnt quite work out from where.

I must have been looking at him for a while, when one of his friends started laughing and said its him, i was like is it, still couldnt work out who he was, then it dawned on me it was Naj, he had come in to buy my yard, he wanted the land.

We had a lovely chat and he was very friendly and down to earth, even talked about his fights, with him telling me that Carl Crook didnt beat him, he was sickened by it.

So sad when i read about his tragic ending, he was a great fighter, and from the short time i spent with him he was a great guy...

**** didnt buy my yard though!

    Made me a fan.

    Benn/ Eubank fights and Bruno.

I can remember my brother waking me up late one night to come downstairs and watch this weird very unorthodox fighter which was Naseem fairly early in his career..... It was those 4 fighters mainly that got me hooked.

    Also Lennox Lewis vs ruddock.

Later on I can remember watching people like gatti and morales fight and then came the Hatton/calzaghe era
Calzaghe/lacy Hatton/tszyu brought in a lot of casuals!
