Saúl Álvarez vs. James Kirkland

Wonder what Farmboxer thinks on this one... Nostradamus predicted that Ishida would KO Kirkland, the only person on here to do so. So Farmy, is Kirkland going to shock the world here? I know you're a big fan of the guy :yep

 

The Kirkland that went into Mexico and took El Perro's soul would get Canelo out of there. But this version of Kirkland will probably lose. I'm rooting for him though but I give him a slim chance.

 

When people talk about Anne Wolfe & Kirkland you are forgetting another very important person... Pops Billingsly!! He tried to do with Kirkland what Bouie Fisher did with Bernard Hopkins. Bouie & Bernard were more like father & son than trainer & fighter & Bernard will tell you he owes all his has to Bouie & hard work
Sadly Kirkland hasn't been able to lose the street punk image. He's let Pops & Anne down so many times. I doubt either of them will bother with him any further In my book he doesn't deserve it
Even now I still wish Kirkland the best & hope he comes to his senses If not he's headed back to the big house

 

Now just a minute ... In that fight Perro lost that fight not Kirkland won it. Perro was beating hell out of Kirkland lost his head & punched himself out. I think Floyd or even Calzaghe could have stopped Perro then he was GASSED OUT

 

Yeah I just don't buy that when people say Angulo punched himself out in the first minute and a half of that fight. Kirkland beat the fight out of him and he hasn't been the same since.

Perceptions change fast. A year before Alvarez faced Mayweather it was a supposedly a joke of a fight. People were mocking Floyd that he was going to cherry pick him.
Same thing with Khan.

The more I think about this fight the more I think James might pull off the upset......Only by making it into mid round 10 or 11:deal
