I've said this time and time again and called fights out to win
    Gonzales Mares
    Matthysse Garcia
    May Pac
Floyd was simple sticking his hands out to Parry Manny's punches, and didn't seem all too hurt once Manny got to him, standing SQUARED UP ON THE ROPES.

They have weight divisions for a reason, and when skills are that high and to the human limit, this plays a major roll.

May was SPINNING Pac's body around in there.

Yep. I said it a couple of weeks before the fight size matters thats why we have weight classes. There is no way a guy as small as Pacquiao beats a boxer like Mayweather unless he lands a hard shot and knocks him out. Floyd by decision was always the most logical choice

To both of their credit Manny visibly hurt floyd quite a few times and flood was able to absorb those shots

Bump. Who would give Floyd his biggest problems due to size? I say Khan with quick feet. Other than that, there is no one I think the next fight should be against

Floyd was definitley hurt the first time Manny landed the left, he ran to the ropes and covered up; he felt that.

If size mattered so much, why did Pac destroy guys bigger than Floyd? DLH, Margarito, Clottey? hmm?

let me help you here cause you are stuck. Size wasn't the problem here, it was the combination of size and speed. This is something i worried about a bit. You see, Pac never had problems with bigger guys than Floyd, but they were slower than Pac. Floyd was bigger and as fast... so the speed advantage of the smaller man was taken away. This was one of the problems for Manny, not size alone. I was hoping Manny would be faster but Floyd proved to be equally as fast, which was a a problem from round 1. Let's also point out that Manny's tactics were probably not the best, he was always waiting for Floyd to throw so he could counter Floyd, Floyd didn't give him many opportunities. I think Roach and Manny were planning on attacking at the right moments and were too worries about rushing in too much.

Thing is with such elite fighters, all things equal, size is one factor that should sizeably tip the balance. That's what Im sayin,

Speed, reach and IQ and maybe a little more power than he expected or wanted were the problems here. The shoulder factored in but not more than those other qualities. Pacquiao has never bullied people with his size since he's moved into the welterweight division so it was never going to be a problem here him having faced much bigger guys. The difference was Mayweather wasn't outweighed by 15 pounds for once, so I guess size was an issue for Mayweather.

Size does play a factor, but skills is where it's really at. No point in just being big if the smaller boxer has all the ability. As pacquiao and floyd have proven time and time again by beating much bigger guys. The problem for this fight for Pacquiao was not only floyd bigger, but also the better boxer.

It's always a factor. How important is variable.

People keep saying Floyd was hurt, at best those punches got his attention. If he's not 100% or his opponent thinks he's hurt, it's not wise to continue fighting back. He goes into a shell and let's them flurry. Hurt is what Mosley did to him in round 2.

I agree its a factor. Floyd is usually fighting guys with 15+lb weight advantage (Maidana, Ortiz, Mosley, Canelo etc..) Once he finally got in there with someone who was the same size as him it was easy work.
