Fool me once, shame on you. Fool my twice, shame on me.
This fight was an insult to the fans, and we deserve it.
Pricing tickets above anything the average American could afford, let alone most boxing fans, was a shameful money grab.
Being sold as the biggest fight ever, is simply dishonest. 2 great fighters at the top of their game at the height of their prime fighting each other, is the most basic criteria for a relevant super fight billed as a once in a lifetime fight. Leonard-Duran for example.
But even a fight like that considered the fans. REAL fans. Tonight was sad, necessary, and a wake up call.

If they try to make another event like this, none of us should buy it.

Well I was saying it before the fight. A 34yo welterweight vs a 38yo welterweight? "Fight of the Century"? Dear lord.

I had no problem with the price of the fight. I would gladly pay $100, the issue was the blackout for many paid customers. Anyone who did not receive a continuous stream after paying for it LEGALLY should demand a full refund from their cable company. I can say I legally paid $0 ($99.95-99.95) I feel great because because I legally paid for it, but also didn't pay for it because I got a full refund. Hit Floyd in the pocket, demand a refund from your cable company. Enough people do it cable companys will take it out of Floyd's purse.

It is the live gate that I have a problem with. The fans are the people that made these guys rich, and in turn they cater to the wealthy and celebrities. Most people in boxing, including the fans, can not afford a few thousand dollars for a ticket. They "reward" us with a fight that we can not attend. Thanks champs, next time don't do us any favors.

Boxing fans are, in the main, morons. They will keep opening their purses for these shysters.

I disagree. people are dying for a classic boxing fight. This one almost delivered. (and I don't just mean who won) Had Floyd won but had it been a better experience, had it been more exciting down the stretch (even if Floyd won) it would have been well worth $100.

We want to be entertained by excellent boxers. All the ingredients were here for this fight, but it just didn't execute successfully.

Mayweather has been churning out these kinds of performances for years - I don't know why people expected any different unless you are a total newbie to the sport. Of course in the build up he's going to say it's going to be all excitement, he's gonna work him over and send him into retirement etc.....promotion. He talks big and always ends up moving the majority of the fight. He never delivers on what he claims he's going to do (as far as excitement).

I've said it from the beginning, Pac's success is a result of careful matchmaking and negotiated advantages. A fighter with good defense and movement would easily beat Mayweather. But these casuals made Manny out to be a world beater. Well, how's he look now?

Well most people didn't expect Pacquiao to win. Floyd was the obvious favorite especially after Pac was KO'd by Marquez. Most people just wanted to actually see these guys fight. Styles make fights and this had all the ingredients.

The fact is Floyd was legitimately ducking Pacquiao and literally ran away for most of this fight. The guy has been terrified of Pacquiao of the better part of 6 years, Floyd woke up so many times in cold sweats in the middle of the night having a nightmare about Pacquiao. even the most hardcore fl0mo can't deny that. Floyd nearly ****ed his pants at the weigh-in. :rofl
