I never agreed before when people say Floyd hand picks his fights. He fought a one dimensional come straight forward hype job for 100 million guaranteed last night, With the exception of Bob Arum making money from it. I loved it all
I don't think Manny is a hype job. Far from it. However, let's think about how this fight came about. Floyd had not interest whatsoever for many, many years. And then all of a sudden, in the blink of an eye, the fight is made and they are fighting "tomorrow." This is reminiscent of the Cotto-Martinez fight. Word gets around if someone is shot, or injured. It leaks out from training camps, guys who are in those camps, having a beer at the local cantina, etc. Cotto knew Martinez was damaged goods. There is no doubt about this. I suspect Floyd got the same kind of info about Manny. This is why the fight was made so quickly.
I was being facetious. I don't believe Floyd cherry picked anybody, but Ive known for years that this fight would be this one sided if it ever happened
Martinez wanted that fight He wanted a nice pay day and thought he could beat on a smaller man despite being not at his best
Manny is definitely a really shot fighter. He just beat up a top 5 P4P fighter twice in a row in Bradley and Pacman is widely considered coming into this fight as one of the 2 or 3 best fighters currently P4P. If Pacman is a shot fighter, than 99.99% of the fighters currently boxing are shot as well.
Oh ok. I posted before reading this. It was hard to tell if you were being sarcastic as there are many crazy posters in here that believe nonsense like that.
wrong. usada did the trick. not only did he juice to the gills, he also drained pac of blood non stop. double whammy. judges finished the work. vegas "put 2-4 random rds for pac. easy work".
