From the opening bell before he was even hit hard, Manny was flat footed and not using his footwork AT ALL. Instead coming straight in on Floyd when everyone knows you can't do that. I do not understand what was wrong with him. Give Floyd credit for winning the fight, but this cleary not the same pac from the Oscar, Hatton, Cotto etc fights. I had Floyd winning 7-5 or 8-4, I found the commentators extremely biased. Floyd really didn't land that much, but definitely more than Manny did, but Manny did the most damage and landed the harder shots. And he did stagger Floyd and basically let him out of trouble when he had him on the ropes teeing off, which was a tad strange.
Floyd didn't BEAT manny, he out pointed him, like almost all of his opponents. But shame on Pac and especially Roach for attempting to execute a losing strategy from round 1 on. Do these people never learn? Where was the side to side movement, back and fourth movements, punches coming from all angles? Manny fought basically like Canelo but with his speed did win atleast 4 rounds on my card.
And credit to floyd for not looking old, and I don't think manny looked old either, he just didn't fight like he normally does, that was pretty disappointing.

Yea i agree when you said Floyd never beat Pac up but he dominated him with his boxing skills.

Floyd's footwork made him flat footed.

Before Manny was even hit I saw immediately he was flat footed and not moving. He was trying to brawl instead of being the boxer puncher he is great at doing. His movement is what won him his fights over the other greats, he flusters them, but he did not even attempt this. Maybe he is getting old and that style tires him too much, who knows, but that WAS NOT the same PACMAN as previously. The guy comes out immediately, flat footed, and waits on Floyd? WTF, come on.

He is old and the Marquez knockout made him adjust his style and took his heart. The only way he would ever beat Floyd is by taking big risks and throwing constantly, basically how he used to fight. But he would still be at a stylistic disadvantage and the underdog.

He was tested, plain and simple. Nobody saw him get tested in Macao. He finally had to man up and take tests in the USA and he looked like dudu. It's not coincidence. Look at all the cheaters after they get busted. They drop off instantly.

You can't just use angles against Floyd. Floyd will adjust his feet and make you pay. Manny probably needed to throw more but missing punches makes you tired and weary.

Because Mayweather isn't a statue, has quick feet himself, and superior footwork. And again like I said before the fight: MANNY ATTACKS IN STRAIGHT LINES!

Manny was worried about that right hand ALL NIGHT. Kept him tentative. Once I saw that in round 1, it was a wrap. I figured it'd take a few rounds, but it was clear from round 1 Mayweather could run away with it on the scorecards.
