Floyd did no wrong. It was Pac's fault. He didn't show up. Floyd did what he had to do. And if people think boxing is dead they're kidding themselves. It's just simply not American anymore. What with former communist countries now allowing people to turn pro and other countries like the UK and China coming strongly into boxing the power-base is shifting. Boxing is more alive than ever. Just in a truly global way.

This fight was alla about Manny Pacquiao. Every real boxing fan knew about Floyds skills, it takes exceptional educated pressure to defeat Floyd, which Manny was unable to deliver. Floyd produced a masterclass. I believe a prime Roberto Duran was one of the few fighters in history along with Sugar Ray Robinson who I would back to defeat Mayweather.

That's all Floyd does? Damn, sounds so simple. Maybe everyone should try it and get to 48-0.

Wlad is almost always way bigger than his opponents

If that was the case with mayweather, he'd get a lot of KO's as well

Wlad fighting fury is not nearly as good as mayweather fighting the likes of Alvarez

    Both are safety first bores

I might even go as far to say that mayweather is better to watch because he doesn't clinch as much

Shot to smithereens Tyson versus Lewis was a better fight. Other than the tension that the names brought (any other two boxers and it wouldn't have) the fight did not live up to the hype and I never thought it would. Mayweather hit the boxing jack pot lottery because there is countless defensive boxers out there that don't make even a fraction of the money.

He's far from the only fighter/athlete to which this applies.

It's really funny how the less educated forumites keep harping on about ''compubox'' which has been proven time and time again to be a flawed system that is very misleading.

A severely injured Pac staggered Floyd, landed the heavier shots, forced Floyd to run through his aggression despite being so much smaller and team Mayweather swearing they would walk him down and KO him, on top of that Pac made Floyd miss with all but the pitter patter jabs that mostly connected on the scalp or gloves oh and the 3 hooks in 2 of the 12 rounds.

It's ridiculous how deluded people are to think Floyd doing his running game is enough to win a fight. Thank god for Holyfield who actually tells the truth, while Floyd fans defend him, his ''sty;e'' is putting the nail in the coffin as everyone is wondering how a guy who does nothing but runs can be credited with a great performance.

I'm not a huge Tyson fan, but he's 100% right on this.

Tyson was taught that boxing needed EXCITING, SPECTACULAR fighters and fights to generate real interest and keep the legacy and tradition of the sport alive.

What we've seen in recent years are too many of these huge MEGAFIGHTS that totally fail to deliver any excitement, blood and guts, and yet the hype and the sales keep getting bigger and bigger.

It's confusing for us older fans and traditionalists, and the action fighters of the past.
It seems that BIG TIME BOXING is just an exercise in marketing and pre-fight hype.
