OK, but this wasn't because he was gassed, or as part of a gameplan to outbox Floyd, or because he's shot.

It was because Floyd knows how to control distance and Manny was rarely in a position to let off, always just out of reach.

The way I see certain people talking it's as if Manny should have started throwing punches at thin air, just to increase his Compubox stats

if pac has vegas in his pocket, he will win punching the air like garcia.

    not an option.

if he is juiced to the gills like floyd and not getting blood drained, he wont tired punching air.

    not an option.

No, Pac's stamina looked off, he was definetly weakened

probably because of the endless PED tests he had to submit to coming to the fight, while Floyd apparently wasn't tested for ****. he looked juiced to the gills there. what happened to his ¨shot legs¨?

I don't know if it was his stamina, conditioning-wise he looked i the best shape he's been in for a while. And with Fortune in the camp you'd expect him to be in top shape. I think he was more mentally frustrated with the fight and that affected him physically. He was clearly cautious about being countered and cause of that wan't fighting his usual tempo

Manny barely threw any punches because Floyd dominated the pace of the fight. Dominated. Manny was too unskilled or scared to get off.

Because he couldn't keep up with Floyd and he was being outboxed

If he didn't get KO'd by Marquez it would have been different. Every time he went to throw he got countered by the same right that put him to sleep. I got shin splints and mentally I never run the same imagine getting a straight right to the face.

How many times did they blood test him then as we know they don't always blood test and use urine testing instead so any source to the amount of times he was blood tested?

Funny how when Pacquiao FINALLY takes a drug test he fights like an amateur. :think

Makes you wonder why team Pacquiao had such an issue with the drug test in the first place. :think:think:think

Maybe the drug test meant that he couldn't use PEDs anymore :think:think:think

pac was simply out of range for the most part.... what I don't understand was why the **** was he head hunting and looking for that KO punch all night when he could have bounced around and try to fight in the pocket.... where did his foot work go??? the fuc k

Yes it was clear he was rarely able to get in a position to punch because of Mayweather's movement. It's easy to keep switching angles of attack against a stationary or predictable target but much harder when that target is constantly making you reset.

On the rare occasions Mayweather was stationary Pac made him pay but these moments were few and far between.

People saying Pac should have just gone for broke don't understand boxing isn't that simple. Last time he became reckless and went for broke he ended up unconscious face first on the canvas.

Manny was throwing plenty, but he just hit air. He wasn't landing nothing. Floyd too fast, too slick.

    Yes and no.

In the centre of the ring Floyd gave him nothing - everytime he sensed Pacquiao about to initiate something, he stepped back and forced Pac to reset. THIS is what I was getting at in my OP

However, in response to your post, there were MULTIPLE occasions where Pacquiao followed/forced Mayweather onto the ropes or even into the corner and then just jumped straight forward, with no attempt to open up angles or use his footwork to fire punches from unpredictable positions. So every time Pacquiao instigated action on the ropes it was check hook, see ya. Did he think he was fighting Margarito? That Floyd was just going to stand there and try to trade with him? I found this bizarre
