De La Hoya at the end of his career gave him the opportunity that brought him into main stream name. Mayweather needs to give some young gun the the change to carry the torch. Thurman or Khan are both good choices.

i always tell ppl ordering ppvs is bad for boxing. the fights dont live up to the hype.

there always these random casual boxing fans that come outta nowhere when pac or mayweather fight. n i always tell them if u really wanna see the good fights u gotta get to know the fighters n start watchin the fights on hbo n showtime instead of watching boring mayweather fite or watchin pac fight clottey and algeri for all types of money.

i had a couple randoms over n i said if u really wanna see a good fight come over saturday n watch canelo vs kirkland

Yea nobody says football is dead after a boring 0-0 draw or the superbowl is dead if the finals boring.
Half the enjoyment is not knowing whats going to happen not what happens.

The fight was alright (obviously went one sided to mayweather in the second half) but manny was always in the fight with a possibilty of landing a good shot.
People say they wouldn't want to see a rematch but I would especially if the injury was true after all an injury is an injury easy for us to say excuses but if the dude was injured it does leave a question mark.

I think it embarrassed boxing. Is the best boxer out, is that how he fights by running? It was like a $100 PPV to watch a ****ing amateur fight on points.

Yep. The next big fight that has this kind of hype, the casuals will think twice about paying for it thanks to Floyd making it a snoozefest.

That's a myth. The UFC hasn't taken over **** and is a niche sport.

All thanks to Floyd and TMT. At least Manny came to fight and wanted to actually make a good fight for the fans. What a concept. FMJ had no interest in such things, all he wanted to do was run out the clock and rob working class people of as much money as possible.

I think the worst thing about it is just how much Floyd lost his love for the sport. Say what you want about Pacquiao, but he was truly excited about this and was having fun, and the fans were going nuts when he started landing on Floyd. Manny has the right attitude. Floyd's attitude sucks.
