extremely clever defensive fighter but overall he's been a boil on the butt of boxing. as an ambassador of the sport he sucks donkey ***** and just laid ANOTHER egg, at the worst time possible.

he's (by far) the best ever con man at getting fools to pay to watch his boring ass not fight, i'll give him that.

Yes I admit it He's the best of his generation.

And I gotta admit that he was really humble yesterday and said nice things about pac even after destroying him. Maybe he's changed now and he's gonna become a nice guy

Not liking him as a person is more than fine but that level of bitterness is beyond embarrassing.

Guys can't even let Calzaghe's career go so I imagine there are going to be a lot of butthurt people like you arguing over minute details of career for the foreseeable future.

He's one of the greatest and just beat a fellow great 100% legitimately. Depends how you define 'best ever', there's perhaps several GOAT it depends on your criteria. I don't know anywhere near enough to place guys on a list, maybe one day I'll be able to. He has one hell of a skillset and is a beautiful boxer to watch. I remember a thread here that asked what he'd have to do in the past and his last few fights to get into that equation which was a fair read. He's entitled to his opinion though.

Many will always hold his outrageous defense and knack for scoring points in the safest way possible against him but that's his objective and it takes some ridiculous talent to maintain it (even though he lost to Castillo and drew with Maidana imo). He has no brutal wars, Maidana was an interesting development, just like Castillo was, but these were in reality nothing to capture the romance of adversity other greats have persisted through. Some hold Morales above Mayweather, his resume is nowhere near Floyd's imo but he showed several different shades and degrees in violence and perseverance. If Floyd had lost Maidana 1 and came back just as in 2 then won 3, people would hold him in higher regard, it's a strange one.

Don't get me wrong Floyd has a severely under-rated/ignored aggressive ****nal at the lighter weights, he used to throw stunning combinations and occasionally peppers them in these days but because he is so good at avoiding punishment it's kinda neglected since he is not being cracked back in the expected back and forth sense you can find in other ATG's held in higher esteem.

He will be forgotten. There is just nothing there to remember about him. His lost to Castillo? The shoulder roll? He's boring. He has the personality of wallpaper. His fights are more often than not disappointments. He's not likable and is hardly even dislikable cause there is just not much there either way. Anyway, good riddance.

The butthurt here is incredible! Lol, anyway I don't understand the hatred. I mean Willie Pep was just as defensive and he is in almost every Top 5 or Top 10 list I've ever seen. Floyd's the best of this generation and is definitely in the Top 20 maybe Top 15 if he can manage to retire undefeated. If he gains the middleweight title and is lineal 5 divisions that might be enough for a Top 10 spot (but I doubt he'll get that far).
