Yes it is. But, it's as an old veteran tactic in boxing. That goes pretty far back. It's up to the ref to control it or let the fighters fight out of it. Bayless chooses to break up clinches almost immediately instead of letting the fighters fight out of it. He didn't deduct a point, because, it wasn't excessive. Floyd's clinching in the Maidana 2 fight was excessive, IMO. And he was warned, if I recall.
Floyd stopped clinching after a few rounds - used his feet more and either bobbed and weaved or went for the check hook which manny often walked in to.
Talk about a major reach . He clinched no more than 10 times the entire fight. You act like he pulled a Klitscho or something.
