Cotto's not a harder fight. Cotto hit Floyd more but he got hit a lot himself. Cotto never stunned Mayweather, Cotto got hurt in the 12th. Pac stunned Mayweather. Pac just fought too cautiously.

Clearly you're a new comer to Pacquiao.

Prime Pacquiao was the epitome of a pressure fighter.

When your stamina is gone you can no longer do what you used to.

No they do not. Canelo is a counter punching, boxer/puncher. If you look at his strenghts and weaknesses, it doesn't lend itself to him being a pressure fighter. Pacquiao is an in and out fighter, and an underrated counter puncher. Pacquiao doesn't even cut off the ring all that well. He's certainly not a pressure fighter. Guys like, Cotto, Hatton, and Maidana actually excel at applying pressure. They all still got beat.

Someone also mentioned the height and length factor. That also has to be taken into consideration. Oscar played the role of pressure fighter, even though he wasn't one, but he's a lot bigger than Floyd and pretty long himself. Canelo, and Pacquiao are not natural pressure fighters, and they aren't taller than Floyd and have a much shorter reach. They had no real choice but to fight the way they did.

It's like WTF do you people expect?

Pacquiao is 36 and been in a half dozen all out wars.

Of course his stamina isn't gonna allow him to pressure the whole fight.

Thing is, Mayweather is so good that he makes everyone fight his way. That's why I want Golovkin - Mayweather. I don't think Mayweather could handle his body shots. Technical fighters like Pacquiao, he can easily pick off. Golvkin is totally different and he would have to change the way he approaches.

I've been watching Pacquiao a long time. He's normally a volume puncing, in and out fighter. He is not a pressure fighter. Simply coming forward at times and/or throwing a lot of punches does not make you a pressure fighter. Cutting off the ring, consistently closing the gap, and being able to make the other guy uncomfortable without throwing a punch are hallmarks of true pressure fighters. Golovkin and Chavez Sr. are great examples of pressure fighters. Pacquaio jumps in, gets off his punches, and then darts out.

I said he's an underrated counterpuncher. That punch that stunned Mayweather was a beautiful counterpunch. Watch Pacquiao's fights, he counters much better than you think. That's not his main style, but he's pretty good at it. If you want to believe that Canelo is a pressure fighter, then go right ahead. That's not what I see out of him.
