Is Cotto now the best fighter to boost May's resume now that he's beaten Pac?

Cotto II is big for scooping up a would-be record 5th division lineal title. And because, well, Cotto is highly ranked at a division that Floyd has never competed in. So clearly all that. However there is also that Floyd already beat Cotto clear. Either way I doubt this will happen yet, as Floyd wants to fight in September and Cotto is fighting on June 6th. That would leave Cotto only 3 months before the fight and I doubt he does that. Plus Cotto just signed with a new promoter, etc.

Best fights for Floyd to take at 147:

    -Kell Brook
    -Keith Thurman
    -Tim Bradley

    -Amir Khan
    -Danny Garcia

    -Lucas Matthysse
    -Lamont Peterson
    -Shawn Porter

...after that you end up with Marquez II, Maidana III, Pacquiao II, Guerrero II, and Ortiz II. Then you start naming Devon Alexander, Sadam Ali, Andre Berto, and Diego Chaves.

forget geale, as ggg already beat him convincingly. you're saying cotto's win over a visibly incapacitated sergio is better than ggg's entire career, and that's just ridiculous.

broner and canelo are both the epitome of overhyping. they were already undeservedly on the ring's list before dropping off, both from draining down to beat significantly smaller men, and even then needing occasional sympathetic officiating for the win. some of us ain't so easily pleased.

    Broner, yeah.

Canelo... you're wrong there. Nice top wins with Lara and Trout for the lineal title (yes, both close) with tons and tons of supporting wins which add up to relevancy in Angulo, Mosley, Rhodes, Cintron, Baldomir, A. Gomez, and a novice Miguel Vazquez X2.

At his age? Sure winning the belt off Matthew Hatton was lame. But things change. Alvarez is legit.

A rematch with Pacqioua would make him the MOST $$$$.

And now with a win over him, he could throw Pac 25% and Arum would be licking it up.

Should Pac win the second, a trilogy would be in order and Mayweather would be what Adrianna B0NER claims to be.:lol::lol:

He should fight Lara at 154, a lot of people felt he beat Canelo.

i'm not saying he isn't, nor am i about broner, just pointing out that they're not great examples to pick when calling ggg overhyped. neither deserved to be top 10, whereas ggg is steadily working his way up without the promotional juggernaut those 2 have benefitted from. you can be overhyped and legit, no?

he already beat cotto and cotto was manhandled by pac. pac rematch is still better than cotto 2 otherwise ha takes ggg who had been calling him out at 154. cotto is avoiding ggg. or winner of khan-thurman elimination.

    Amir Khan should beat Algieri
    Kell Brook should beat Gavin
Kieth Thurman and Shawn Porter need to fight next

if the Khan/Brook fight happens end of the year Mayweather should fight the winner of Porter/Thurman

If Khan decides not to fight Brook hell likely choose Broner/Bradley, both of which I see him beating with no hassle

In that case Brook V Mayweather next whilst Thurman/Porter should fight Maidana

Mayweather seriously has a shot at cracking the top 10 ATG list now. Has to fight GGG at MW or Andre at SMW. losses in those two fights will not hurt his legacy at all. Men before him like Langford did that and so should he.
