Khan has the stamina, the volume, and if Floyd doesn't make Khan respect him with some power than he could be outworked despite always producing the sharper and more skillful work. Problem is, Floyd will make Khan respect his power and is capable of putting him into serious trouble with his counter.

    I'd pick Mayweather.

I admit it's an intriguing fight and that Khan has some special qualities regarding work rate and stamina.

that's why cambodia is such a ****ty country... a PM betting on a boxing fight and then reneging on his bet?

it should be illegal to place bets when you're a goddamn lawmaker

That's the thing though, if Manny postponed it, that wouldn't have really made much of a difference as to correct the injury he required surgery, and that would have postponed the fight for almost a year. So in a way, his hands were tied, he had to go ahead with the fight.

Floyd is beatable at 38. A younger fighter that can move enough so that he cant touch them whenever he want's, and can actually get off their own offense would probably have a good chance. Khan comes to mind

    Invincible? no

Mosley hurt him as did Maidana. Pacquiao and Cotto had some success

Personally the way to beat Mayweather is to force him to lead and not to allow him control of centre ring, when Counterpunchers are put on the front foot they tend to make more mistakes. at least thats my theory. not a random southpaw fighter or someone who throws a lot of punches.

Father time is the only one I could see beating him. So he's probably best off retiring soon while still on top. TBH there isnt any opponent out there that would get me excited fighting mayweather. Obviously bar GGG. But I doubt this will ever happen. He beats everyone else easy IMO. I don't think a loss to GGG would affect his legacy to much tbh. I think a lot of people would give him probs for fighting a beast like that at the end of his career. Especially if he did it at 160. But this is only a dream

Would he have required surgery in his state prior to the fight, or was it the fight that exacerbated the problem into the need of surgery?

How can you justify that someone must be the agressor, and have the other one on the ropes to win a fight?
How can you dismiss defensive technique?

Oh I know, you're a casual. See you again at the next "superfight".

If he had said nothing about it after the fight and then the reports came out a couple days later that he was getting surgery, the world would be doing exactly what Manny is doing and using it as an excuse as to what happened in the fight. It's amusing how 95% of athletes don't deal well with defeat, and, it being human nature to find an excuse for when you mess up, yet the media is making this out as a pathetic "excuse." I'm sure that if any of them, or us, tore our shoulder early in the biggest fight ever and is requiring surgery immediately, we would have mentioned it. Let's not act like most boxers don't make some type excuse to explain a loss or poor performance. The fact that a shoulder that requires surgery less than a week after a fight is looked at as an "excuse" and made out like it had no type of significance in the fight is quite...strange.

This reminds me of the time Carl Froch fought in front of 80,000 people at wembley...
