On Eddie Hearns twitter he mentions a big announcement next week for two summer shows one of them being June 26th at the echo arena and has tagged sauerland bros in the comment about the liverpool show inparticular, surely this is Joshua vs Price?
They are doing a show together. Price is on it but not v Joshua. Joshua is fighting 4 weeks before so no chance.
doubt it mate, although david price can be beaten easily the fact he punches very hard would make eddie think twice at this moment. if it was another year down the line then id say yes
Bellew is due out soon so could be him vs one of their Cruiserweights. Callum Smith is on the show too and I know he is meant to be against someone fairly well known, could be another possibility.
Yeah thought it was too good to be true, perhaps if Joshua & Price are both on the card against different opponents it will build more hype for the fight.
Would be a bit of a stretch for Joshua to face Johnson and then Price. If Joshua knocks out Johnson easily then I'd like to see him in with Wach.
think price will be on the bill, just fighting another soft is touch to get a ko. if bellew+ C smith fight someone decent with fielding vs vera it could actually be a half decent matchroom card. Far better than the one planned on Saturday that's for sure. anyone got any more news on cleverly vs braehmer?
Aimed for September I believe, Clev is fighting on May 30th in a keep busy/ warm up fight then the fight should be made in September.
Particularly when he will still not have had a single punch thrown at him in his pro career to date after the Johnson fight. He must be exhausted with all the ringwalks. Watching fat and old cans be counted out must be a drain on his fitness. Sitting in a dressing room scared that Great Grandad Matt Skelton is going to throw a punch must drain energy levels. Don't know how he has managed to cope with all these huge 50/50 fights. Hopefully he will find the strength at the end of the year to fight Tony Thompson's grandad.
Joshua has had 12 pro fights, if you are annoyed at the hype fair enough but to have a go at his opponents is a bit weird?
Have you watched all his fights? It is even worse when you watch live - the opponents come out and one can quickly see immediately that it is the equivalent of a tied up dog being thrown to a hungry lion. I was at the Burns v Crawford fight last year and fook me Joshua's opponent was fat, bald and old. The drug dealer on Sat was even worse.
Officially these are pro fighters though, the standard of the HW division has to improve in general, that doesn't mean Joshua should be thrown in with a top fighter in his 5th or 6th fight, I still don't get what you are angry about
