Everybody says Pacquiao carried his power up through the weights.

That's false. People act like he was Tommy Hearns who carried the same power from 147 all the way up to 175.

At 112 Here he stopped Sasukul an extremely dangerous flyweight in a storm after trailing on the cards.

At 122 he developed his full power. Here he knocked out 9 of 10 opponents. Most of them early and needing just one left hand to pretty much hurt his opponent so bad that he could never recover.

At 126 he knocks down Marquez (prime ATG) 3 times in the first round. The left hand was needed just once to be too much. He stops Barrera (prime ATG). In the 3rd round Barrera has yet to accumulate much damage at all. All of a sudden a single sudden left drops him hard.

At 130 the power begins to wane. Marquez has less respect for his power at this weight than 126. He is unable to stop Barrera like he did at 126. Morales eats his punches in the first fight. I know prime Morales had the best chin of anyone Pac ever faced, but still at 126 he would taste it differently.

At 135 he stops Diaz easily. The power though isn't quite as sudden.

At 140-145 he lands the perfect punch on Hatton. The perfect shot will drop anyone. Here at this weight Pacquiao delivers damage through accumulation rather than power. His KO's of Cotto and DLH were accumulation knockouts. Not power knockouts.

147+ He has been there for about 5 years. He has yet to record a knockout. That simple.

At the higher weights his power was more from his punch velocity imo leading to a high rate of attrition for his opponents.

Exactly. At the higher weights it was about hitting his opponents enough to break them down.

At the lower weights it was about one left hand.

    Massive difference.

Not to mention that Clottey, JMM, Rios, Algieri, and Bradley are all almost unKOable.

he has but the way he punches is different now. Back then he would throw his entire body with his punch causing the imbalance as people say. now hes not that reckless anymore

Slightly above average power for a welterweight.. Thats why the PED talk was laughable in many ways.

That was at 130. Manny still had massive power at 130. Not like 122-126 but still big. And Morales was shot in those 2 fights.

I know. A guy with big power at the weight doesn't have a KO at 147.....

    PEDs my ass.

Manny was a slightly above average puncher at best at welter.

What do you expect though when you put a natural super bantamm/feather at welter?

At lower weights he was a real puncher at ww less so but hard enough to not be walked through

I watched a compilation of both his and Floyds KO's and Manny never really was a one shot KO artist, a large majority of his knockouts were after barrages or long beat downs

Hatton was kind of the exception

The whole idea that manny was on PED's then decided to get off of them without being caught is nonsense. Manny got old and has slown down a ton. Go watch pac-hatton then watch pac-algeri, looks like a shell of himself.

Lots of great boxers were shot before pacs age.

All of Floyd's opponents become shot, cherry picked after he schools them. FACT!

READ all the posts up to the fight on how Pac was going to do this, do that. Remember he weigh in? :rofl What short term memory packroaches have.
