He took Shannon Briggs and Charles Martin the distance!

Fair play to Hearn for this one as its only supposed to be an easy walkover before the fight with kingpin.

I would not hold your breath. With six months in the gym, with a proper trainer, I would be a pick'em to go 10 rounds with the now 89 year old Briggs!

This really is 'just' fine tuning, preparing for Johnson.

I agree, a lot don't however. I do think this is someone to get KO'd but to give him a few rounds without to much offense. Good match up really, a few other prospects across the pond have taken this guy a lot later in their careers, so all in all a good fight in my opinion.

    He's actually terrible.

He got stopped by Eric Molina who is a proper bum.

its a stay warm stay busy fight, noT a test. a quick look at boxrec doesnt determine anything. he looks worse than jo jo dan look at some of his footage.
AJ will get a live opponent some day.. hopefully not when its too late and he'l get the shock of his life

It's an opponent he can knock out but the commentators will say how he took Briggs the distance and went like 10 rounds with Martin so it shows how good this guy is.

I'm not knocking it but I don't think it'll last long. It's just a keep busy fight. Let's renemver he's fight kj in a few weeks

The level of opposition Joshua has fought really isn't bad at all at this stage. I reckon Hearns got it spot on. I can't think of many heavies that would want to fight the likes of Bakhtov, Airich and Johnson that early on in their careers.

Worse than Jo Jo Dan? Of course he is, Jo Jo Dan was challenging for a world title so of course he is better than a journeyman heavyweight. Shows how little you know about boxing.

A shocking opponent with A Joshua to win priced at a best 1/100 on at the Bookmakers.

    After Johnson

    12 fights
    12 cans
    No punches thrown at Joshua

And so it goes on for another 18 months then he fights for British Title on Sky Bucks Office and Wlad safely gone.
