While I'm not particularly interested in seeing Mayweather v Pacquiao II, here is a way I would like to see it as I believe it would leave boxing in a much better place as a whole, and the two superstars can claim they actually helped the sport rather than they have hinder it over the years:

    - Pacquiao spends the rest of the year on the shelf recovering and rehabbing. If he's fit enough to fight before the end of the year then take a gimme fight for a tune-up if he feels he needs one.

    - Mayweather sees out the final fight of his contract with Showtime against a not particularly challenging opponent like a Danny Garcia or a Shawn Porter to go 49-0

    - Early next year, Mayweather makes his intentions known he wants to go 50-0 and will grant Pacquiao a rematch.

    - Mayweather & Al Haymon team up to but the fight on PBC on free-to-air TV. The money they receive from advertising and sponsorships when a gazillion people will be watching makes up for the loss of PPV revenue.

Thus even more eyes are on boxing than last weekend, more people become boxing fans and the PPV market for boxing is blown out of the water.

Definitely not paying a penny for a rematch. I'm done with both. Pac is shot and his fights are not exciting anymore. Floyd's always been boring. Pac is my favorite fighter but he should retire.

What about if they do it on free-to-air TV. Would you watch then? :think

the only reason they will make a rematch (IF) is for another $100 PPV

What if the cost of what the PPV revenue was is covered by advertsing/ sponsors like the Super Bowl.

Let's be frank, a rematch on PPV won't do as well as the 1st.

I was thinking in that manner that the only way this rematch could be palatable would be if they fought on free television.

Floyd would deserve a split around 75-25 though, since Pacman basically stole money from people in their last fight.

I personally would rather not see it happen though, why should Pacman get rewarded with a rematch against the best fighter in the world? I lost a lot of respect for him as a fighter, he kept talking about how he fights for his legacy and for his people, when it's clear as day he's all about the money. And there's nothing wrong with that, he's a prizefighter. But him and his team have shown their true colors. It's always been about the money.

I got banned for promoting illegal signal theft when praising the quality of a live stream provided by Top Rank for their undercards.:lol:

Lol. You're right. One day I got banned for asking what channel a fight was on. :patsch

I tried to reason with them but they wouldn't admit to their stupidity.

Yeah it's pointless alright, I mean who would care to watch a rematch!?. Just try to not get sacked off the site shortly before the rematch starts for desperately requesting a free link to watch it. :good
