Mayweather vs. Pacquiao could reach 5.6M PPV buys

Nah. He probably beat the women legit. But I do believe he put on a master class in how to become a very wealthy athlete without any endorsements. He conned people like me to tune in to what on paper were mismatches in hopes of seeing him lose.

He did what he wanted to do. He could have been Manny and made decent money with a promoter, but he decided to become his own boss (Al Haymon might argue), bet on himself, and became the richest athlete in the world. Not bad for someone who's book intelligence is probably lower than average.

 

About the same as Manny's intelligence. Looks like Koncz had to fill out Manny's questionnaire for him. Ironic isn't it? All the excuses, the Xylocaine, the reading, the torn rotator cuff excuse, the surgery ... all turning around on Manny. These are all arguments you guys used against Floyd for FIVE YEARS.

 

I wouldnt doubt it I tried to order the fight during the Santa Cruz fight and all lines were busy and since i forgot my password to do it online it was a 1 hour wait to talk to someone, luckily i got it just in time but i had never had to go through that before

I was talking to my friends in Knoxville. There were TV's outside of gas stations with people huddled around. Driving down Memphis, I saw Watch Party tents. Then, in LA, a street crowded with people trying to watch out of a TV in a third story window.


That's how big this this fight was. Mayweather and Pacquiao didn't have a responsibility to just win, but to put on a show. Both failed at the latter.

 

Those are the one liners that lets me know Pacquiao's fans would fall for it again.

Yes exactly, that's why they are both at fault.
Pacquiao was either injured or just showed up with a bad game plan or both. Mayweather did the bare minimum to s****e a win. For someone to call themselves TBE in the fight of the century, you have a responsibility to put on a show for the fans.

These two could have shown millions of casual fans what boxing is all about and usher in a new era of fans, but instead left a sour taste in all their mouths, I doubt they would ever buy another boxing PPV for a long time.

 

Manny was actually on 2 local anesthetics before the fight, as it was written on the physical exam chart.

Aside from taking anti-inflammatories like toradol (a powerful anti-inflammatory medication,) he was using 2 local anesthetics, I'd assume for his hands/knuckles.

The 2 that he listed were bupivicaine and lidocaine, which are allowed in Vegas.

I kinda feel bad for Manny now. I bet he really didn't think he'd be getting this type of backlash. Maybe he should think about hiring a good PR team to hep him out of this mess he and his handlers have created for themselves.

 

Pac man has never made numbers like this on his own. Its Floyd that makes these numbers more special. It takes two to tango.
