Clottey is an underrated fighter. Arguably beat Cotto and was beating a prime Margarito until he hurt his hand, and just beat Mundine (albeit a shot one). His loss to Pacquaio is curious though, I don't know what happened there. He shelled up, but when he let his hands go he had success. I would love to see him fight the winner of Canelo-Kirkland.
Canelo is the rightful favorite, but Kirkland is a tough dude with a high work rate. I think Canelo wins in a grueling back and forth affair, probably by ko
Wonder if Kirkland comes out blasting as per usual or if his corner change will influence a more measured approach? Hoping for the former.
That victory over an old Mundine appreciated in value, though, when Choc went on to expose the unbeaten/ranked/hyped Rabchenko. :good Yeah, seems like a missed opportunity to not showcase him in a televised co-feature and set him up to meet Canelo or Kirkland down the line. Clottey is the kind of guy that is as entertaining as his dance partner's disposition - meaning Clottey vs. Canelo or Kirkland would be fun, as Clottey vs. Silva probably was, unfortunately.
Kirkland will be relentless out there tonite...Canelo is going to have to fight to beat the dingo warrior..
I don't hink its a good idea for Kirkland to try and outbox Canelo. His only chance is to swarm him and try to break him with pressure.
If any of you guys are fans of Django Unchained, you should check out Mandingo its a great very un-PC exploitation movie from the 70's,
