The guy hadn't been in the gym for over two years and just started boxing again.

What did you guys think was going to happen?

If you guys ever got of your couch and realized that activities involving muscle memory get better the more you work at it and becomes progressively worse if you stop working at it.

50 cent is to blame. He has Kirkland in a shelf.

    LET THIS BE A WARNING

Be careful when you make decisions in life.

All the fighters 50 cent has have become inactive and have lost for the most part.

  2. On the real, some people just wanted to see Saul beat a Black guy without controversy. Not making it a race thing but...you know it's real.

They tried to make this fight years ago, but I think Kirkland had a bum shoulder or something. I'm not sure anyone thought Kirkland would win, I didn't.

And Guess what Kirkland hadn't fought since early 2012 and had been off for a year and a half before the Tapia fight. So What.

I'm sure he would not have been knocked out like he did today.

Too bad he didn't last until the later rounds, canelo said he was tired. Would have been interesting to see Kirkland at his best. I still favor canelo, he's the better boxer.

Kirkland looked shaky from the start. His balance, his power wasn't there and he was taking hard, clean shots. His timing was all off. I don't know about 50 being at fault, but Kirkland didn't belong in this type of fight with such inactivity.

I think canelo would still knock Kirkland out if it was years ago because Kirkland always leaves himself open and always had a weak chin. Angulo was inch of koing Kirkland in the 1st round but angulo punch himself out way worse then canelo did. Canelo got tired cause he was trying hard to knock Kirkland out but canelo unlike angulo was doing very well defending and moving his head but also canelo was countering Kirkland shots. Years ago it would be the same. Kirkland only fights 1 way and that's come forward landing bombs.

On top of not being fighting in over a year. He just isn't that good. Suspect chin, and poor defense really offset his heart and will power. He has a record built up on tomato cans. If he fought more top level opposition, he would have many more losses on his record. I mean, he was TKO'd in one round by feather fisted Ishida. I'm disappointed it took Canelo three rounds to get him out of there.

That happens when rappers think they can do something in the boxing business. Other promoters went to business school, learned about boxing etc. while these studiogangsters were getting high and being slaves of their managers. 50 Cent and Jay-Z will destroy every of their boxers.
