I do. That's how Cotto fights. When he fights good opponents, it's not as easy to do. He can't do what he wants to. His "improvements" are a direct result of dramatically decreasing the quality of his opponents.
Cotto-Geale is a 50/50 fight. If Cotto manages to get past Geale, Canelo stops him. Without breaking a sweat.
Canelo seems to have more pop. Cotto would fight on the back foot, ala Margarito. Think it would be a bit of a boxing match, but favour Canelo.
I don't think that's a 50/50 fight at all. I think Cotto is the clear favorite. He's performed better against better opposition, he's the bigger puncher and the better boxer. Gaele is also coming off a brutal KO. Look for Cotto to win decisively.
Guided him to a fight with a 39 year old cripple with a world title.:good Now he's taking Cotto to the next level by fighting another mid30 year old who's coming from a savage Ko defeat. Roach is the greatest trainer ever.
Not gonna matter, Cotto losing belts to Geale. Cotto is no GGG, wont be able to seriously hurt Geale.. look for Geale to start pulling away after 3rd round for wide UD. Canelo probably stops Cotto.
Performed better a long time ago in a weight class far far away. Trout > Cotto, Canelo > Trout I don't like triangle theory, but you cant make a claim that Cotto has done better in the 154-160 lb weight range.
I think he does need to get Trouted, in a major way. 157lb title fight? Get Trouted again Cotto, get Trouted :happy
