Super 6 - More tournaments to save boxing?

Bring EM on any tournaments that forces all these guy to face each other Im for .

They just need to learn from the past one ..

 

Every generation of fighters needs tournaments like that.

 

Super 6 was great, even if the winner had an uninspiring style.

A welterweight one with Brook, Thurman, Bradley, Porter, Spence and Khan would be amazing. None of them having boring styles either.

 

Brook, Thurman, Khan, Bradley, Ali, Rios

None of these fighters have faced one another. Also all 4 belts can be in play.

 

Also, of my list Al Haymon has the rights to 4 of em, Brook's promoter has worked with Al before too. Only Bradley would be a problem to get.

I think that the Super 6 served a few purposes, all positive. It made fans take notice of (and educate themselves about) all the other fighters in the tournament, rather than just their personal favourite - and also it created a consensus champion and intrigued people as to how the other fights played out - helping each fighter in the tournament make a bigger name for themselves.

To have all the top men in the division be forced to face one another to create a lineal champ can only be a good thing!

 

think its a great idea, will stop fighters cherry picking and only facing styles which suite their game.

also helps there's no debate really on who the best is in the division afterwards.

The only issue could arise in the future when everyone knows who the best is after someone wins the super 6, and he's fought the next best fighters so how to you sell future fights, if no decent new fighters are on the scene?

 

Super Six did great for boxing in Europe, specially in Denmark. Trust me i know that

 

That is a good point actually...in the short term it could maybe serve as a great way to liven up a couple of the more moribund divisions, as it does help create storylines and interest around fighters that would normally be less known to the casual fans - so ultimately enlivens the divisions.

 

Super Six was better on a paper than in reality.. we got some good fights.. but it took far too ****ing long to finish up.

 

Super 6 takes like 2-3 years to complete, by then whole new talent in division, especially in one such as 147.

 

I was going to compose something similar. Initailly I was in favor of that thing but it was clearly going to have it bumps along the way and wuite frankly, I never want to see another one if it could spawn another Andre Ward.
