    i'm not going to pretend like i've followed Kirkland's career enough to know anything about his relationship with Wolfe

    but the reality is that even if someone is a poor trainer for other fighters, they could be exactly what one fighter needs. Floyd sr isn't great in the corner on any level of any other fighter, he offers nothing but positive reinforcement and things for Floyd to acknowledge, and that works because that's all Floyd needs. If Wolfe works for Kirkland, it doesn't matter if she hasn't trained any champion. Nobody is saying Floyd Sr is a great trainer, he is just the right trainer for a great student.

    Plus he doesn't smash Floyd in the head with medicine *****. So he's got that going for him, which is nice.
