He hasn't got power and isn't in a popular weight class. I think that's why he doesn't get the credit. He was class against kameda. I thought he would get beat. To go away from home and produce that performance is fantastic. If he was a welterweight or a middleweight he would be a superstar over here.
get the feeling he's one of those fights to the level of his opponent, thought he'd get battered going off his last performance but delighted he won As for publicity, lower weight classes you don't tend to get much unless you are brash/loud (naz) or the only star in your area (frampton)
Yeh he is , but Payano won the belt in sept last hear ( vacant prior) and hasn't defended since... So I'm wondering why he hasn't been stripped etc
Jamie Mc is the most underrated fighter in britain, went to france and won European, beat the mexican banger ceja and now he has beaten kameda. The kid has done it the hard way but he doesn't get the credit he deserves. Fingers crossed the British public realise we have a special fighter here and back him. Jamie is a genuine nice lad as well, always doing charity stuff etc in Doncaster giving back to his loyal local fans.
Here here Very very good fighter and def deserves praise more than joshua. The smiths, groves and many others
I agree also, think he is definitely one who fights to the level of his opponent. Really pleased he won though, good fighter.
Id go as far as saying he could step up and beat quigg, wouldn't be surprised if Mcdonnel vs Frampton turns out to be the big fight and not quigg vs Frampton
