ESPN2 FNF: Amir Mansour vs. Joey Dawejko RBR

What a disappointing second half....It started off with great drama and had me hooked and then.....Ummmmmmm:blood:-(

It's ok... The fight 2 weeks from now, and the undercard bouts preceding it will more than make up for tonight's lackluster action. Heck, Chakhkiev or Kudryashov probably could have came in and whooped either one of these guys and STILL fought on this card

And they aren't even heavyweights, even though they have frames to be.

 

Nope fury is a level below mansour and dawejko. how can fury get mentioned in the same breath as these 2.

 

Thought you were high on Parker, and Joshua as prospects? Guess they can't be considered true world operators until they prove themselves, but they look to be the goods.

 

The heavyweights are even fighting like may/pac now lol

Dawejko has been a sparring partner for Hughie Fury.....:good

 

ofc its a wind up. Hughie fury would school both dawejko and mansour in the same evening. let alone tyson fury.

 

Just watched the fight. Some notes:

- Amir Mansour came in too light: should have been 15 pounds heavier
- Joey Dawejko came in overweight: should have been 15 pounds lighter
- Amir Mansours speed is insane for an almost 43-year old
- Dawejko is actually skilled, but not being in shape made him lose the whole second part of the fight
- Both guys are top-30 heavyweighs

Next for Mansour: Gaining weight again and fight a contender. Rematch with Cunningham, Fedosov, Szpilka, Arreola, Tarver, Lucas Browne, Joseph Parker, maybe Price in the UK would be good options.

Next for Dawejko: Losing weight and move to 215 pounds and he beats someone like Chisora easily. He is still young, so he needs to build up a winning streak again against boxers like Curtis Harper, Joshua Tufte, Jarrell Miller, etc.

 

You cannot be serious. He had how months to prepare for this fight? It was actually him to call out Mansour. And he came in like a white Solis, shown nothing but a few counters then got completely worn off by the 5th round. 5 rounds and hes done. Clearly he lacks the discipline. As much as Chisora is a mediocre fighter, suggesting Dawejko would beat him "easily" is simply ridiculous. Hes not a top 30 HW, barely a 100.

 

It's not my fault he is fat. I'm just saying if he was in decent shape, he would box the ears of someone like Chisora. If he's in shape, he is a top 30 HW. But probably like Solis or Arreola, he won't be in decent shape in his career.

I liked the fight though i keep suspecting Mansour is on peds. Dawejko needs to change his style to suit his body type more.
