No you don't average his weight when judging what division a fighter rehydrates to for a fight. That's just absolutely ridiculous! GGGs rehydration weight has been trending upwards. For Proksa he fought at 168, Macklin he came in 170, Rubio 173ish, and probably around 173 for MM.

    BTW Froch fights around 170-172.

I don't want GGG feasting on smaller guys period! I would rather him become lineal, unify, and stay at 160. But I hope he does the first 2 and then moves up to 168 and eventually 175. Stop calling out smaller older fighters who are 5 times removed from the division they started in.

Yep and Froch is a unique case along the lines of Floyd. There are not a lot of guys out there who fight so close to the limit. Evidence he was 173 for Murray? He looked noticeably lighter than he did for the Rubio fight. Only reason he got so big for that fight was because he knew Rubio would come in massive. Go look at the unofficial weights for SMWs over at basement gym boxing. They're much closer to an average of 180.

You made the weight comparison, look its not that I don't like GGG he's very entertaining but being honest the only reason Geale or a Murray are rated is because as a whole MW sucks 1-10 fuc*king shot ass J.Taylor is a title holder that should tell you all you need to know

I said probably 173 because he has been trending upwards I don't believe he was officially weighed in for that fight and I'm too lazy to look. He's been getting bigger every fight slowly but it's natural as you age. I don't believe the he came in 173 for Rubio because Rubio would be massive excuse. He came in 170 for Macklin and for the MM 30 day weigh in GGG came in at 172 that's 7 pounds heavier than when he came in at 165 for Rubio.

GGG is slowly getting bigger it isn't a bad thing. He needs to not step aside and fight Cotto !

I really don't like how the weigh in system works in boxing at all even Kovalev came in at 190 for a 175 fight that is freaking crazy and along the lines of Canelo coming in at 170 for fights at 154.

    Alright, fair enough :good

I wish they would at least make a fight night weigh in mandatory and official so we could clear all this nonsense up.

    Lol

Don't understand the hate for GGG. Is it because the Ward thing?
So it's OK for Canelo to not fight GGG for 2 years yet GGG gets crap for "ducking" ward?

As far as I know, he's cleaning out the MW division. Don't hear many fighters actively calling him out.

It's a matter of record vs skills. If we want to go by record than Mayweather is #1. If we look at who has the best skills at the moment then it is probably Rigondeaux. That said, there aren't a lot of guys around lately with CVs as good as Golovkin's anyway. On paper, Danny Garcia looks great, but lately in the ring he's been falling short of expectations.

GGG is already in all respected Top10 P4P lists.

    Ring Magazine: #7
    Boxrec: #3
    ESPN: #4

    Deal with it!
