this is a very tough style for Quigg, Martinez is notoriously strong and relentless and the best way to beat him is by outboxing him. Quigg will need to fight out of his skin to beat Martinez toe-to-toe

and way to go Eddie Hearn and his big mouth making him look foolish again, saying Quiggs next opponent would be "guaranteed" better than Framptons, then goes and gets a guy Frampton beat twice

A very odd choice for Quigg.Promoter Hearn may look a fool after this.

Finally Quigg picks a good opponent. Should be a good fight, not an easy win for Quigg at all.

Style wise I could see this being a fight of the year contender. I believe both guys will take a lot of heavy blows in fight and will be marked up but I also believe Quigg is a level above Martinez and fancy a very late stoppage win (maybe around the 11th). Though Quigg on points e.g 116-112 would not surprise me either

Is this PPV in a half empty Manchester Arena?

Kiko was trying to fight Payano at Bantamweight.

Now that he is on a lower weight Quigg wants to fight hum :)

Martinez is still Frampton's best win(s) to date by far. This is a good measuring stick fight for Quigg, if he bombs Martinez out quicker than Frampton did, what will people say then?

Quigg will win with ease. Martinez is a come forward plodder who offers very little. If he doesn't stop him it will be a shutout UD.

Tbh the Manchester shows tend to be the better matchroom shows by a good distance IMO. Won't be empty as you'll probably have Crolla on there & he sells by the bucket load.

Though the usual suspects won't be there? Cal & Paul smith , fielding....

It's the best fighter Quigg has ever faced (yes, including a faded Monroe) but that has nothing to do with Eddie Hearn making a **** out of himself

I don't think he has made a cĂșnt out of himself. Unless Frampton faces LSC or Rigo next (which is highly unlikely) then Martinez is a better opponent than Frampton's next one. :nut:patsch:!::hi:

Lets be honest this is Quiggs first real test. I think Kiko's power will be too much. Quigg unlike Frampton doesnt have a plan b. I dont see Quigg being able to keep Kiko at long range for long. Also I think that it would be crazy to go toe to toe with Kiko. So far Quigg has been protected from bangers so this will answer a lot of questions. Can Quigg take a shot?? Can Quigg fight at long range and when the going gets tough does Quigg have the heart to go into the trenches with Kiko???
