Mainly because he talks a lot of trash, does many things that rub people the wrong way, AND he's extremely good and successful. Most people are believers in the theory that what goes around, comes around. However, despite all of the bad things Mayweather has done, he's still undefeated, he's still p4p number 1, and he's still not only the highest paid boxer, but the highest paid athlete in the world.
