My friend the veritable bookmakers WilliamHill have Mr Joshua as a 1/100 Favourite. No matter how anyone wants to dress this up this should be a comfortable workout with a long past prime cagey veteran for Mr Joshua.Due to Mr Johnsons style this fight should go more than four rounds but Mr Joshua should stop Mr Johnson in the mid rounds 5-7.
Haha! My thoughts! Although come to think about it Kingpin will certainly see the later rounds of his encounter with Joshua.I even tend to say that he will go the full route with the young Brit losing every single round of their encounter.
I may assume that they put him against Kevin Johnson so that he went distance, because Kevin Johnson is considered to be a durable opponent with solid defense. With that being said, Joshua might start the fight slow. Still, my actual prediction is that sooner or later in this fight Johson will get knocked out. Probably, in a British stoppage way. You don't want to stay inactive against Joshua, who himself brings high punch volume into the ring. I actually ranked Kevin Johnson pretty high. He's probably the most charismatic character in heavyweight division. If only he worked a little bit harder in the gym. I really believe he could have easily defeated Manuel Charr, Derek Chisora and Christian Hammer, his last 3 opponents, and then got a title shot. It's a pity he decided to turn into a journeyman instead.
AJ 3rd Round KO and I don't even rate AJ that highly yet but this is a cherry pick for him but I hope for his own sake this fight can go a few rounds.
It will be impressive if Joshua stops Johnson, who has never been stopped, after this fight Joshua needs to fight someone who hits back.
Tell me if you saw the same thing I did.... After Joshua KOd the Brazilian cab driver they brought Johnson into the ring for the interview. I noticed Hearn and Joshua take a very good look at Johnson as he was being interviewed and their faces seemed to drop a little when Johnson appeared confident.
Johnson was confident in the build up to the fury fight, look what happened there. Honestly I can see Kingpin lasting the majority of rounds until AJ catches him clean and he will stop him. you cant have that low of an output when your in against someone who can bang. AJ is nowhere near the level he needs to be at for a world title but considering Johnson couldnt even win prizefighter or beat Manuel Charr im going to have to pidk AJ
Kingpin is a joke. I would rather Joshua fight a bum than a shot fighter who will be easier than fighting a bum.
