This is a sport you win some, you lose some, and just because there a few fighters who've managed to keep their 0's intact that doesn't mean everyone who hasn't is a bum. Whether or not they've kept their 0 through manipulative cherry picking of opponents playing to their strengths and minimizing their risks like some fighters or by doing it the old fashioned way by taking on all comers no matter what the risk and willing to let go of their precious 0, they are in a very small minority in the sport, most of the ATG's had several losses. Were they bums.. of course not, but in this hypercritical era we live in they may be perceived that way by the current crop of 0 obsessed fans. Many fans seem to want to pick and choose who to condemn and flat out ignore the losses of certain fighters because it serves their agenda. Like Marquez who has several losses yet no one seems to acknowledge that, or Maidana who has some terrible performances under his belt but certain fans don't seem to want to admit or even notice that. But then they turn around and point at a Guerrero or a Rios who have 1 or 2 losses and use them as fuel for their narrative that they're trying to promote, its sickeningly transparent.

Look just because you may be a casual fan who doesn't know what the hell you're talking about because you barely follow the sport beyond the few fighters that are cool enough for you to follow, it doesn't mean the ones you haven't heard of suck. There are many quality opponents who never seen the light of day on the big networks like HBO or Showtime, they toil the years away fighting on FS1 or FNF's or in some cases are never seen at all except for their old matches on Youtube the few curious fans look up. And why is that maybe because they have bad promoters who don't have sweetheart TV deals in the States, or maybe because they don't have a fan friendly style, or maybe its because top fighters duck them constantly because the fighter knows how good they are even if the casual fan may have no idea. There are many reasons why certain fighters never achieve a level or stardom that they truly deserve but most of the time it has nothing to do with their level of skill or talent, often its simply money of inside politics behind the reason for their lack of exposure.

Unknown Foreign Fighters aren't Bums because They're Foreign.:-(
This one really annoys me, fighters are routinely called Euro Bums or derided for being Americans because it fits some silly Nationalistic agenda people have. And of course this is also entwined with the lack of fame point that I made as well, Americans tend to write off almost reflexively any fighter from Europe as "Euro Level" because it makes it really easy to discredit a fighter they don't like by pointing out their lack of top competition, because of course most of their opponents aren't necessarily well known, so it makes it really easy to undercut the unliked fighter and mislead less knowledgeable fans and no one will be any the wiser. Wladimir Klitschko is the biggest recipient of this treatment, because the HW Division isn't as popular in the USA as it used to be, because its become so Eurocentric, and because of that all HW's have become Bums...but wait there's a US Champion at last and now the HW division is getting great again, its incredibly transparent. Also its almost impossible to know just how good the fighters of today are compared to the fighters from the perceived Glory Days of the past, but it doesn't keep desperate fans from constantly trying to make those belabored points over and over again. Same goes for Europeans constantly bashing us for being roided up or having glass jaws, whatever point that can be found that fits their agenda no matter how silly it may be is used.

Just Because A Fighters Is a Journeyman it doesn't mean they Are a Bum:-(
While standing on the precipice of being bums most of the fighters who are considered journeyman or gatekeepers are considered that for a reason they are just good enough to expose any pretenders to the throne, because if they're not good enough to pass the test set before them by these tough hombres many of whom have pretty damn good chins (i.e. never been KO'd), then they're not legit talents which means what? if they beat one of these guys it help legitimize them, which means these journeymen must be somewhat good...right? However sometimes these fighters provide challenges to the up and coming young guys that they have to overcome, these struggles and tests for them are a good thing for any young fighter to have to face in their formative years because it gives them a chance to work out their imperfections along the way. I see this refrain all the time, if a hot prospect doesn't come out and blast one of these usually iron chinned gatekeepers out of the ring in 2 or 3 rounds then they are bums too, it doesn't seem to matter that they pitch a shutout for 12 rounds....but they didn't knock out the guy whose never been KO'd before so they must suck. Which is also ridiculous.

Guerrero, Algieri, Rios, Margarito, Martinez, Thompson, Povetkin, Pulev, Bradley, Chaves, Chavez Jr., Dzinziruk, Barker, Rubio, Macklin, Pavlik, Trout, Provodnikov, Matthysse, Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Donaire, Porter, Brook, Calzaghe, Jones Jr., Brahmer, Lemieux, Mayweather, Klitschko, and Pacquiao

There's a difference between being a coward and not wanting to face a particular opponent. I weigh 175 lbs, but am I interested in facing Fonfara as Adonis did? F*ck no!!! Adonis isn't a coward, he just doesn't want to fight the Krusher.

Side note: I am, in fact, a coward. I could give you a list of several thousand professional boxers I would be scared of fighting. Many of them flyweights or long since retired, senior citizens.
