A couple of reporters are saying Monroe seems to be bigger than Golovkin. Since he refused to be weight prior to weight in, what is the chance he will come in over weight like Rubio did?

rubio was about 180, murray wasnt far off. If i were munroe id being trying to keep speed, rather get bogged down just to take more punches..
to adress your post, he will come on at least 170-175.

That's why they call him Big Willie
Seriously, I'm not surprised. Expected as much as he refused the WBC rules for 30 day weigh-in

Willie himself said he put on more muscle. He maybe thinking his speed is good enough even with the extra weight, but the extra strength and weight may make Golovkin pay more respect coming in.

I don't give Monroe much of a chance. He got on the ropes too much against Vera.

And he took a lot of right hands from Vera. Golovkin will be applying similar pressure and Monroe needs to tighten his game or it will definitely be an early night.

Good for him. He's still going to be a good boy.

Bigger means slower on his feet. He has only 6 knockouts, what's the extra weight going to do for him?

Yeah especially his arms. Idk what bigger arms are going to do for him. If you're not a puncher, you're not a puncher. He has a speed advantage so having bigger arms might take away some of that.
