Is it time to write off Felix Sturm at top level?

Hasn't won in his last 3 fights. Looked poor at weekend. Lost out on a payday with Abraham. 36 years old. Rumors surrounding that he tried to have somebody whacked.

However can we completely write him off yet?

At one time he seemed to be done. Thought to be fortunate in many circles to get to win over Matthew Macklin & Martin Murray. Dropped the title to Daniel Geale via SD, then lost to Sam Soliman.

However, Soliman got busted for PEDs and that change to an NC, then took the title back in 2 rounds vs. Geale conquer Darren Barker.

What was his best victory? His semi-controversial lost to Oscar?

I would say his wins over Slyvester and Barker are career highlights for him.

If he used the jab more and didnt try to bullrush he could've won his last fight easily.

Yeah. I was thinking what the hell is Strum doing. Chudinov is decent, but Strum lost that fight for me rather than Chudinov won.

The 2nd Castillejo fight? When Castillejo was pretty faded and probably should have won anyway?

Before writing him off one point to bare in mind- two weak belt holders at 168 in Abraham & Jack...would you completely dismiss his chances in those bouts? :think

He was peak of his powers when he fought ODLH

He has been treading water last 5yrs.

Should've stayed in the states after the DLH fight

Getting beat by Geale and Soliman on home soil pretty much says he was finished a long time ago.

The Baker victory was more to do with the opponent being injured

No, but I couldn't favor him in either matchup at this stage.

Beating an obviously disabled Barker means absolutely nothing.

I've always undersold Sturm to be honest. I thought he would have ****ed off years ago.
A few favorable decisions for him but have to admit a few against him aswell.

For a guy that's not particularly exceptional Mr Catic has done alright.
