What was the first title fight that you remember watching?

    For me it was Matthew Saad Muhammad vs Dwight Braxton in December 1981, I was 10 years old.
    I watched it at a friend's house it was on HBO, and we watched a movie before the fight, I remember it was a slasher flick, probably Halloween, Friday the 13th, the Howling, or the Shining.
    I was rooting for Saad, I thought he would win because he was the defending champion, and had a lot more fights under his belt then Braxton, who was I think only 13-1-1. Plus I took to an immediate dislike to Braxton who always appeared to be grinning, like he was having a good time in there. Anyway Braxton basically dominated the entire fight stopping Saad in the 10th, I never saw the August 82 rematch until several years ago, which was even more one-sided.
    Which title fight was yours?

    I'm gonna say Ali-Zora Folley in 1967, when I was 8, might have seen something before that that I can't remember

    I have a vague memory of Ali/SpinksII; but the first I really remember was Minter/AntuofermoI.

    Frazier vs Foreman. I hated Frazier at the time because he beat my favourite Ali and I wanted to see him lose. Needless to say I got my wish back then!

    Not exactly sure probably Foreman. The first one I really remember was Conteh Ahumada.

    That fight was on ABC with Howard Cosell commentating. Maybe they showed a replay of it on HBO. The second fight was on HBO

    Floyd Patterson - Brian London in May, 1959.

    I watched this fight on live home TV, in black-and-white, in my grandparents' home. I was rooting for Floyd, and was relieved when London went down and fell over on his side.
