Floyd's hard power punches were the reason Pac was hesitant to throw.

He knew how elusive Floyd was and that right hand would be coming back anytime.

He was hit by it many times and that's why he grew so weary to throw it.

He was afraid that it would knock him out. :deal

He was already dazed by the 2 huge punches Floyd connected in the 1st round. It was close to knocking him out.

Pac was worried about opening up a counter in the first 2 rounds got his attention at the point he knew PBF hit harder than he thought. The fact is that he wasn't willing to sell out to get to PBF. He wasn't willing to sell out like Maidana and Hatton both did willing to go out on their shield. Most people who thought Pac would win said he would walk through PBF's shots and get to him. I knew this wasn't a video game and Pac wasn't capable of it. He isn't the warrior his fans made him out to be he was undressed on May 2nd for the world to see in grand fashion.:deal

He felt he was in control of the fight, reason he didnt rush in was cause May was setting up traps, which what was a clear part of their game plan to avoid. As he was comfortable with landing the most significant punches, there was no reason to take silly chances.

Yep same with Canelo who was also afraid to step in due to the quick accurate counters.

The way pacquaio slumped in his chair after round 1 made it clear that Pacquaio suddenly realised he was in trouble.

Those counter shots are so devastating. Pac knew this, Canelo knew this.

They couldn't budge when Floyd was corking it back.

Floyd's control of range left pacquiao off balance every time he committed, but he knew if he never committed he would NEVER be hurt... safety first from both guys where Pac took slightly more risks and Floyd controlled range perfectly - never see Manny miss so much (he and JMM actually hit each other). He didn't want to be countered because Floyd is accurate but Pac's defense was good on the outside too - just couldn't close range without missing, and he tried until the second half of the fight, deserving some of the swing bull**** rounds that in a real scoring system would be 10-10 because no one landed anything of note, but given to Floyd because he controlled range and landed two or three more bs shots a round and made Pac miss ... but Pac pressed the action early, so those nonscoring rounds really should be split down the middle, giving some to Pac for aggression and some to Floyd for range and punch output control.

There were 3 actually in that round. Not sure if they would have knocked him out, but I am surprised that Pac didn't go down from one of them, especially the 2nd one.

PacRoid was physically AND mentally f_ucked from the opening bell. When he felt that first solid shot, things only got worse.

He got beat by a better fighter simple as that. I doubt his warrior reputation will get tainted because of that. Besides its not like the man quit or anything.
