Have GGG fight Mayweather and win, then every American fan now knows GGG. Then have Canelo move up to middleweight. Middleweight becomes the new PPV weight in boxing. You have GGG, Cotto, Canelo, Trout all in one division. You'll have America, Mexico, Central America all able to buy in PPV fights. Imagine how many PPV fights you can sell over a 5 year period with that division. Not going to get May Pac numbers... But it keeps PPV boxing alive.
Not a terrible idea I think...only a matter of time (hopefully) before Canelo moves up anyway. Liking the idea of GGG becoming more popular...
This! PPV alienates the fans from the fighters. If it's to be used it's to be used very sparingly for super bouts with DEEP cards.
Deep cards :lol I can't think of the last time we had a deep card ..PPv's are a joke and the only ones that benefit are the fighters and the greedy promoters . This is why I don't support it anymore and Mayweather has really put the nail in the coffin for me ..I mean countless PPV's big numbers all for what sparring sessions ..Its time for fans to stop supporting such an outdated business model !
Trouts a LMW. Canelo as of now can fight at LMW. Mayweather-GGG will never happen, and its silly to think otherwise
Offer quality main events (with a good undercard), charge a reasonable amount and don't have too many in a year. And we're done
